It likes to send a huge percentage to your base, so you wait for the moment and get it's big base

The key being to hold back until you have the opportunity to ninja-grab their main base, rather than trying to build up in your own area first.

Most times, I don't even build until I have nothing better to do. Wait for them to send out their troops and sneak into their base.

I just realised it has multi player! Woo hoo!

Looks like 14 and 15 can be bested in much the same way - pool all you can muster onto a blob close to their base, then when the time is right unleash hell onto anything they control.

Once you get the ball rolling, just keep up wave after wave of sudden crushing attacks... the more disproportionate they are the safer the new territory is from quick recapture, and the more you have left to continue a rampage through enemy territory.

I haven't had the time to play very much, on 9 as of now.

Well whatever level it is, remember the key is to select every blob at once and send everything you have directly at your opponent's stronghold! (reserves are for the weak )

No idea how you're supposed to attack 13.

Sit on your starting bases for a little bit, build up some strength, then when your opponent's main base sends out some blobs to capture new territory (and it's population dips below the combined strength of your guys by a reasonable margin) mob it with everything you've got.

From there you need to be quick on your feet to pull the same trick on any of his other large spots that you can over-run, and shuffle strength back and forward between blobs to avoid them being captured. Whenever a decent number accumulates in any one place pull a sudden blitzkrieg out on a nearby enemy base.

I attack straight away. You can afford to let them build up their numbers

But... they're too strong at the very start, you'll be hurling futile numbers against a fortified foe

Umm... I am physically unable to press the button within 0.2 seconds... that's a tiny amount of time, I can have a latency period that long on an online game without really noticing it.

I actually got .2 once, on the dot!

Hmm... if I just double click as fast as I can, I can get in a lot quicker than 0.2 on the second try, but if I consciously pause for any length of time I go over time.

At first I thought this one was just a dumbed down version of Risk that managed to make the game crap by removing necessary features (dividing/moving troops between territories for example), but then I realised it was actually a dumbed down version of Risk that demanded rather different strategy from normal Risk because of noted missing features.

I love playing 1v1v1v... 8 players.

You have to psych them out, seeing what the computer would do logically, then use it to your advantage. Especially fun is using one enemy against another.

Aka: Too easy

Yeah.. they tend to take the path of least resistance. One thing I use fairly often to get my heavy troops moving (since they tend to build up at the back where I can't use them to attack anything) is leave a big obvious path of 1-strength territories with an 8 at the end. They take the bait, attack their way down the path, and free my jet.

Also generally deliberately leaving a weak spot to lure them off in another direction (e.g. attacked around the back of their strong point to make them attack that way, towards another enemy)

Is there a strategy to this I'm missing?

Not really... I just have low patience - if a turn goes against me I think "nuts to this" and start a new game.

I think it's basically Risk optimised for speed of gameplay - everything about it encourages hitting hard and fast rather than moving slowly and strategically.

Still, I like it... It's soothing

I want a video feed of Sir M at the moment the game ended.  Was he ecstatic over his "accomplishment" or despondent over finally making an error?  Did the computer monitor not survive?  That would explain why we only have a screenshot of the next game....

I may have been a little on the not-so-happy side of things.....not because i made an error, but because no matter what i do, the stupid cursor keeps working it's way up the screen, disappears off the play area causing the poor bunny to plummet to it's soft fluffy landing....

I've been playing at work and just got a 4.8m score (nowhere near sir m's) ( ) but either my eyes are playing tricks on me, or they do actually get smaller.

Most annoying thing is when I'm up to some absurd (in my terms) score, my phone rings and the bunny falls down

I say 'just" short, it'd take another 6 trillion points to get there, but compared to the overall total, close to 40 quadrillion.

I tend to go one at a time, but they just whizz the mouse around like... wow...

I was just giving the game another try... the key really is the birds - hitting bells nets you an extra couple of points per bell for each one you hit, but it's only additive, an arithmetic progression. Frequent doublings of your score will make it grow exponentially, a geometric progression.

From the highest I've managed (~67 million) to SirM's is about 30 doublings, even without the ongoing arithmetic progression to help it along (and an extra bunch of 10s does build up when you double it that many times) ... quite a way off, but not unbelievably impossible. The numbers just get silly-sized rather quickly because the scores are earned geometrically but counted linearly.

Nah, I was right.. it only took 2 days, but he's driving his own boat today. Still sitting beside me (at his own desk though) so I can go back to doing my own thing (8 hours a day on tangler) and I can come a-rushing to his aid when he fucks up. (yes, when, not if, because he's so going to balls it today, heheheh)

Anyway, I'm back for all the fun and games so you don't have to miss me any more
