    I am larger then the average person and definitley the average runner-look at magazines....

    I look more t like the before pctures in the nutrifast and slym system ads then the people at races.

  • Weight lifting - barebells and / or machines

    I have become a fan of the elastic (surgical tubing) bands. Different moves and tension/weights available.  Need to find the exercises and muscles to focus on.

    I have seen David Brown on bike in town as well as former Mayor M Cox.    How will the city promote healthy activities?   With minimal money spent?

  • Running with bad Knees ( or other leg problems)

    Knees are fine i occasionally struggle with Plantar fasciitis ( I double checked spelling on Wiki...)

    When it flares I get ankle pain on other foot- I know why that happens but how to deal with the foot problems?

  • Running and Weight Loss

    maintaining a healthy weight- finding it first was the chalenge and then eatig right and limiting the snacks and bad foods has helped .

    I read once and have found it to be true- I eat better hen I workout regularly.

    Any thoughts on exercise and eating right being linked?

  • Tips to stay motivated

    Ihave pretty good motivation to get out on a daily basis and enter the races- I am searching for ideas on motivation to put in the effort to improve... Maybe later some actual guidance/coaching on how to improve.

  • Running and the Brain

    As I train and run the longer distances I am struggling with my thoughts and my head.

    I have focused on the physical comfort in the run- now need to work the mental aspect.   Not a fan of No Pain No Gain but I do know that some "stress" is needed to improve or even to maintain as I age.

    Any books, or other help for this?
