ha, i do the exact same thing, find the faults of my new notebook and then i just ignore them.  The hp is a great notebook, you can do your work, play your games and and its quick :)

ok, yeah i have seen that a few times, but the hangs have been very short

once it stalled on me, thought it had frozen up, so maybe that was a 30 sec hit... other than that I've seen 2-3 pauses of 2-3 seconds... other than that it's been working fine (for 2 weeks).

how often does the pausing happen?

for me it's happened twice in two weeks...
