So I have added my click stream to the profiler service.

I am wondering how / what is added to my apml file.  It looks like just a few key words perhaps based on urls from my clickstream.

A few questions ...

1) How many posts from the clickstream RSS are read / how often to build up my apml file.  There are 100's of posts.

2) What from the post is used?  I would think that the topic of the article would need to be determined and that would need to be added to my apml file but it seems just url key words are used.

Some answers for you!

1. All the posts in the feed are read and the feed is monitored for changes to include in the APML file. Newer items obviously have more priority. The feeds are currently checked once a day

2. All aspects of the items are used including the heading, body and categories

My apml file after a few months is still just looking like some high level key words.

A click stream contains a lot about ones attention.  My apml file is made up of only my click stream and yet it only contains

I'm not sure what you mean GioSico? Do you mean you want more specific interests in your APML?

I think what Gio is saying is that his APML file does not really seem to reflect his interests, despite the fact that his clickstream has been recorded (via Cluztr) for a reasonable amount of time.

I must say that when I look at the details of my own APML file, generated by Particls over the last 4 months, I don't think it's a very good model of my interests...

Is anybody happy with the current state of his/her APML file?

Francois is correct.  The apml covers SOME sites I have visited and a lot I have but does not really reflect my interests.  Only a partial list of sites.

On another but similar note .... just take the the data that is in my apml file.  I visit google every day and other sites in the apml only once in my life yet they are both valued the same.

Well, all this shows after all is that there is plenty of room for improvement. We're just at the beginning... I'm very excited - and even a bit impatient maybe  -  to see what future versions of Particls and of the Engagd profiler will bring.

Hi Francois - yes exactly it's still early days

the Engagd profiler only provides a 0.5 value for all concepts - but that will be changing soon
