aren't you leaving out recognisability/reach?
For microsoft to change their brand, they'd be giving up a brand the whole world knows at a glance
I think they'll keep both brands and give up aspects of each side that the other does better
imo what the world knows at a glance is "Mikro$oft". And it doesn't take long to build brand recognisability. Look at facebook. Took them what? A year? and now everybody knows the name![]()
Does everyone really know the name? Or just those in the same circles as you?
