I assume this group isn't only for entrepreneurs, but those striving to be.![]()
Was reading in Australian Anthill magazine today that "... innovation occurswhen a new idea is applied to create an outcome of value. That value is most often measured in money, but not always."
So does that mean I can be considered an entrepeneur if my startup provides social value even if it has not yet turned a cent?![]()
To date I have invested around 2 man months and around $1500, which doesn't sound a lot until you realise that I have a very demanding full time job, a wife and a 2 year old daughter, no financial backing and around 3 hours a night to play with if I want to sleep.
To date I have made exactly $9.48 from Google AdSense.![]()

On the other hand we now have a couple of hundred members who swear by our service, actively promote it for us, and are continually asking when we will have time to put together the premium options they want to pay for...
Richard - definately. You don't need to make money to be considered an entrepreneur. We shouldn't define success as returns on your capital outlay purey of $ - for example, an entrepreneur ('intrapreneur') in an organisation doesn't get monetary returns, but benefits from exposure, networking, experience, whatever. similar to social entrepneurilism - the return shouldn't be measured by money
