Im here in Portland, Oregon.  Interesting to see where everyone is coming from.  I used to live in Colorado, east side of Denver, but I can visualize Monument, CO in my minds eye. 

I met two Aussies who had lived in Portland (I met them when they were living in Amsterdam). They worked for Adidas. They said Portland has great cycling tracks and scenery...

Its true about the scenery - as long as youre here in the summer. June through October, most beautiful place!  The rest of the year is pretty much a wash - literally!
