(not perth)
thanks
The Margaret River region or Esperance
How cold is the water in Esperance? I've been to the beach in Margaret River a few times, but not in Esperance. Is it colder in the bight?
Esperance is cold. But I wouldn't know about The Bight. It's quite some way off to the east.

According to this JR, the halfway mark would be your side of Port Agutsa

They say half way across is at Kimba, in South Australia, about 3 hours west of Port Augusta. It took me 2 days and change to get there from Sydney when I drove to Perth 9 years ago. I drove the entire distance from Eucla to Perth in one long day, leaving at 0600 and arriving Perth at 2030 or so.
@Ruski: (?)
The halfway mark is this side of Port Augusta. Port Augusta is about 2/3 of the way across the continent (Perth to Sydney).
Brisbane.
@Erik
That's over 1500kms in just over 12 hours!
!
You must have had your extra heavy boots on.
@Ruski
"Brisbane."
Isn't the halfway mark (Perth to Brissie- as the crow dies) somewhere in the Tallaringa Park in SA?
No idea. I was going roughly by the sign in Eucla. What say we both leave now and check it out ...
Yeah, I was moving fast, at least across the Nullabor. It's more like 1400KM and change, I think, but I only stopped for fuel and to eat lunch at Norseman. There isn't much to see out there so no reason to dawdle. Funny, but when I drive back two weeks later my wife, who flew out to Perth to meet me got a speeding ticket some 50KM west of Eucla, for 137KM in a 110. I did not expect to see cops doing radar work out there. Glad it wasn't me.
@Ruski? You left yet?
Yes but I had to turn back. The kids gave me the shits after 5 minutes. After half a day they would be classified as missing persons.
LOL!
Hahahaha LOL![]()
Extrapolating the data gathered from my 5 min journey, I estimate the half way point at 208.627km West of Port Augusta.
33° 9'48.94"S, 135°51'49.37"E
So is that half way between Brisbane and the windy city?
In road distance yes.
Ahhh... it's a paddock NW of Adelaide.
Sending ...
