I want to live there too Swinger. It's just one of those cities. I have visited and would love to have a chance to immerse myself in it over an extended period of time.

NY has a time for everybody. There was a time I wanted to live there - perhaps augmented by the fact my girlfriend of that period was living there. NYC has so much energy, excitement, creativity, amazing people but it kinda never stops and these days I quite like 'stopping' now and then. The climate btw in the middle of summer is pretty ordinary (really hot and humid) and you have to like snow in winter.

I must be the only one who doesn't wanna live there.... go there maybe.... for a day or two

I like NY if I'm on an expense account.  The shopping is great, and if you're into Tiffany jewelery, the flag ship store is magnificent.  I've never maxed my credit card so fast in one hour then when my wife and I went there.

You're kidding, right?  There's one in Martin Place as well, but it's still cheaper to by in the States.

Things are naturally bigger in America.

I could definitely only live there if we were seriously cashed-up. Not so much for the shopping (can take or leave) but so we could live somewhere nice and central, amidst all the action. Maybe when the kids are bigger and when they would enjoy live shows etc... Tacky but I would love to ice skate in Central Park with them and I love snow.
