Hi, I would like to ask for an opinion
I will arrive to New york on June 20 about 1700hours, and I have to get to Atlantic City, and I can"t decide if I have time to get to Atlantic city on that day, or I should take room in a hotel in new york, and travel to AC on the nex day?
 

Hi Gelly. That's a very good question! If you arrive at 1700, by the time you get through customs and then make your way to the city and to the bus or train station, it could, quite easily, be rather late! In my opinion, it would be better for you to spend the night in New York, since arriving in Atlantic City at a very late hour might not be best. However, let me ask others for their opinion, so check back here at the forum for some additional advice.

Hi, I would like to ask for some information.
I'm from Singapore and I'm now a student in the National University of Singapore (NUS). I'm really interested in the Work&Travel USA programme. Can I ask if I want to participate in this oversea venture, should I directly contact the CIEE Singapore representative or there's any joint association set up by CIEE headquarter and NUS that I can look for?

Hi Jason, and thanks for your question!

To participate in the CIEE Work & Travel USA program, you will definitely need to contact a CIEE representative in your country. CIEE doesn't work directly with any universities to facilitate enrollment in the program. You can find a directory of CIEE representatives at the following URL:

In Singapore, CIEE has had a long relationship with Speedwing Training. I know many of the Speedwing staff personally and they are a great group of people! Good luck and I hope we'll see you in the USA soon!

Hi, I would like to ask for my DS-2019. I will arrive to Miami on June 23 but on my DS-2019 is June 25. This date  is also starting my work. Is there posibility of not enter to US before June 25?

Paramount Kings Dominion hires many Work & Travel students from a variety of different countries, so you are certain to make friends from all over the world! Unfortunately, I don't have any specific comments from former Paramount Kings Dominion Work & Travel students, but hopefully they'll be checking out this forum and will share some of their experiences! Whatever the case, I can tell you from my personal experience that it's a very popular place to work, and that can only mean that many former students have gone home and told their friends about their good experiences at Paramount Kings Dominion! CIEE Participants can enter the U.S. 5 days prior to the start of their DS-2019 work dates; however, you should check your Insurance Confirmation form to make sure you have purchased enough CIEE Insurance to arrive prior to your work start dates.  If you arrive before your insurance begins, you will not be covered in case of accident or illness that occur during those early days.

dear melvin, i will be arriving at Newark Liberty Airport, Newark NJ on 28th of june at 21.05,  and my working place is casino beach pier in seaside heights, since there will be no pick up at the airport, i was instructed to take a transit bus to toms river first then change to a shuttle to seaside heights. The thing i worry about is that will there still be any bus around by the time 21.05, so should i stay in newark for one night ? I personally prefer to go straight to seaside heights unpon arrival if it is safe and convinient to travel at night, but in case i have to stay, would you be so kind to recommand any inexpensive hostel? million thanks

I'm in the program again this year but i don't know if there is going to be any problem for CIEE to be the representatives again. Or should i look for another representative like CHI

Hi Jonathan.

In all likelihood, CIEE can sponsor you again this year. The decision will be based on the circumstances surrounding your program last year. I would encourage you to contact the CIEE representative in your country to discuss.
