Azureus is the best way to go, it has a large number of users and is a real trendsetter when it comes to features. uTorrent is a clone, but without the overhead of java.
The best way ive seen to pull down TV is to use RSS. There are some plugins for azureus (and its built into utorrent), but personally i prefer TVTAD. Its a seperate application that monitors the feeds, tracks your favourite shows and uses your own bittorrent client to pull them down. It "just works".
Apart from that the only other tips are to remove the xp SP2 max outgoing connection attempts (if you use xp), and make sure your router has UPNP (or you poke a hole yourself). And with dsl, dont upload too much, or it will kill your download. See how much you are able to able to upload and drop it a bit below that.
And enjoy!

"Media That Can't Be Manipulated is Almost Useless"
Provocative yes, but does everyone really want that kind of attention? We aren't all artists. While it is easy to be persueded in an environment of influential bloggers and trendy graphic designers, most people dont make their own entertainment (or anyone elses).
Discussion and review of the media is another thing though, it obviously has a real draw for most people, but that could be integrated into existing television (they can do some pretty funky things with cable).
And obviously you cant trust anything that says the "mash-up". Puh-leeze.
