I tried it. Pretty good. But I'm not sure I'd keep it running all day. Sucking up bandwidth.

no mac client, that sucks, but in boot camp it work pretty good. great piece of software
i like the program but i don't like any of the channels... we should be able to make our own unmoitored ones for it to become popular

I just don't get it... it's basically crap content... I will wait a while and see what content develops... At least they send an email out regularly with what content is available.
The old name was The Venice Project. Yeah, that doesn't roll off the tounge.
They don't care about content. Content will come if they provide a great system. Content will come from majors if they can protect and monetize it. Content will come from semi-pro if they can monetize it. Not sure how they do that yet.
Yeah Joost needs content. I believe the content will be after they are out of beta
Anyway, I love Joost.
Joost needs to be more platform independent. With it innovating only for the Windows platform they limit themselves to being yet another democracy player type clone.

We'll see how the content develops who knows all the believers might be right .... but for now, even tho grateful for the invite to see for myself, my first impression is one of disappointment... the content I found seems to be at the lowest common denominator of broadcast TV... am I missing something?
One of our national TV networks here in Canada is boasting that they replay the current edition of a Fox network show from the states via streaming broadband. as soon as the show has broadcast on TV .. as if it is an advance to civilization to get the show "Are you smarter than a fifth grader' anytime anywhere.... sigh.

I've officially uninstalled Joost from my laptop. Until they provide better content, there's nothing of interest for me on Joost.
