It all started about 6 years ago when I dropped my new cell phone into the waterway in our back yard. Ever since I've had my cell phones tethered on some sort of tether or retractable id card string or elastic cord. L amentably I don't seem to have a way of doing that with my iPhone do I? I know I can get a simple case for it that I can in turn tether, but I've not been crazy about what I've seen so far. Granted I've only seen a couple but I thought I would at least run this by other users who might have come up with their own solutions before I leap. No sense reinventing the wheel when I have access to so much experience right here.

Thanks for those ....  obviously regular iPod solutions  translate rather favorably to the iPhone. Unfortunately this kind of thing is hard to shop for with photographic images like this. I was actually contemplating using very strong thread or multifiliment line to create a kind of custom string (bound package type of cris cross web) around the iPhone that would not only allow it to be tethered but would afford it a modicum of protection itself too. It would also allow the phone to be dropped into a pocket or such in a more secure fashion. I see the slick nature of the device to have its disadvantages. Thanks again ... I'll look further.
