Please feel free to drop me your questions, feedback or suggestions. Thank you! Frederik
love jahjah... been using it for a while. Will get you some feedback!
Jajah Voices
Jajah - Free Your Voice
Jajah basically is free or low-cost global calling with your
regular phone. There is no headset, no download, no software and no
broadband connection needed. You are using your existing phone
(landline or mobile) and so is the person you are calling. You can call
your friends for free, no matter if they are online or not.
Try it out at http://www.jajah.com - it's really easy.
But as we want to provide more neat communication services that are
beneficial to you I would love to hear your feedback on what we are
doing so far and what might be your suggestions for the future -
establishing a conversation.
hmm sounds interesting. I don't pay you directly? The costs are added to my normal telephone bill?
is jajah one of your products, mick?
Wow what a great Idea.
I'm impressed. It makes sense when you think about it. The phone infrastructure is huge... massive.... why try and develop something to replace it?
Nope, Jajah isn't us (but I'd like to be in on the deal). Good guys I met in San Francisco.
Nice huh?
Jajah comes off (to me) as an extra middle-man taking more money for a call I would already be paying with my normal phone service.
If it's free, why are there charges listed on the left?
I also don't understand why I need to sign up
Okay, I found some info -
JAJAH Free Global Calling ...applies to landline and mobile calls to and within the United States, Canada,
China, Hong Kong and Singapore; and it applies to landline calls to and
within Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, the UK, Germany, France, Italy
and most other European nations. It applies when both call participants
are registered JAJAH users. In countries where free phone calls are not
available, or if someone is calling a non-JAJAH member, calls are
simply subject to JAJAH's super-low rates.
I think this information needs to be placed in a more central location... right now it's hidden away in the Help section.
Anyone got more info. about possible patent infringements? http://dockets.justia.com/docket/court-gandce/case_no-1:2007cv00813/case_id-142758/

How could your carrier charge you when jajah is calling you?
Well if your on a mobile device you get charged by minutes regardless of incoming or outgoing once they're used your charged for extra minutes used.
For example you call from the US using a mobile phone to your friend in the UK currently $.18(point 1) a min who is also using a mobile phone and you go over your minutes you are then charged by your Mobile Carrier with their rate charges and by Jajah.
Unlikely scenario but it can happen?![]()
that could also apply to landline services that charge by minutes.
I had a thought - does that mean that dial up users can't use this service? Cos you'd have to put in the numbers online, and if you only have one phone line, your phone can't ring.... right?
Ah. Good qn.
Dial-up users can just schedule their call either a couple of minutes into the future or to any set date and time, good if you don't want to forget a phone call, your phone is just gonna ring at your set date and time
You don't get charged on your telephone bill because you simply receive an incoming call (US is an exception here)
It's two local incoming calls anywhere in the world.
But even if you pay for incoming calls (like in the US) you still save loads of money on international calls, up to 90%
Plus most plans in the US don't even include international phone calls, Jajah makes those calls possible
