I found a really great site that introduced me to the world of photoshopped lomos. Maybe you will find it useful as well. Making digital photos look like lomo photography.
blasphemy! *shock*shock*horror*
Blasphemers have more fun.
hahaha.. imitation is the best form of flattery ;P i am confusedly surprised someone actually put a site about it
not a bad tutorial actually (*secretly bookmarking the page.. shh.. dun tell the others..)
It's fun to play with. I really love that site-- full of great tips.
cool will check it out over the weekend.. its been a while since i have read up stuff on photography *guilty* .. always loved these sites.. always something to learn
Yeah.
They have a flickr group, weekly "assignments" and the folks there are truly helpful and positive.
Adobe Lightroom is quite good to fake lomoshots
I made an "old" picture with a bad scanner (uneven light source) and photoshop. Looked like a porly developed glass plate negative frm the 1800's when I was done.
That sounds awesome, Erik.
I was trying to scan a 6x6 negative without a proper negative scanner. I took a glass plate and my slide sorter, turned it upside down to provide a light source, and put that on top of my flatbed scanner. It worked, but was really uneven, so it looked like one of those plate negatives from years ago that was unevenly developed. I added grain and scratches in photoshop and it looked pretty good. I've since bought a proper Epson Photo 4870 that scans up to 4X5 inch negs, so no more improvisation, but it was fun to try.
