Anyone seen it? I just did and my heads going all splodey with thinking about what's happened and the possibilities for what happens next
I just paste a few quotes:
| Lost nay sayers and fair weather friends can do a whole lot of shutting up today. Last nights season finale was one of the most exciting two hours of television ever. In an episode so full of amazing moments, is it possible to pick ten favorites? No, probably not. But we’re gonna do it to fill blog space.

I can't wait to see it!!!!

I wonder when I'll watch it

I will watch it tonight during my dinner hour![]()
Good?
It was great
Everyone's seen it but me!!!
*Throws tantrum*
I think it might be time to add 'spoilers' in the topic title so you guys don't have to hold back
Good idea
We made a mistake.... we have to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oops.... i just realised I can do it
You can? Damn you group owner *shaking fist*
That was confusing me when I saw it
Ok, since spoilers are now Ok, here are the questions my brain wants answers too (I don't expect you to have any, but it makes for some discussion)
na nana nah I can!!
I accidentally held shift instead of putting in a new line, here are the questions my brain wants answered. Also, damn you once again dek for jumping in between the 2 parts of what should have been a seamless post *shakes fist*
Who's in the coffin?
My thinking is that it's either Sawyer (no-one in the real world would go, maybe he later betrays Kate or the group so they don't go either) Ben (But why would Jack be so upset? That he didn't get the chance to kill him himself?) or Juliet (except she has a sister who would have gone)
Who does Kate have to get back to?
Probably Sawyer, but maybe not.
What's the deal with Jack talking about his father?
If those flashbacks are in the future, and they seem to be, then why does Jack tell the surgeon guy to go find his father? He's dead. Same goes for how Jack has a prescription from his father. Could be that Jack is just delusional, except the surgeon guy doesn't tell him its crazy talk to go find his father (maybe he just didn't want to contradict a crazy man and gave him a pitying look instead)
Who are the people they called on the Sat-phone?
I'm inclined to believe Ben + Locke on this - these people probably aren't the good guys, but who are they, what do they want, and what are they going to do
How was Penny sat there on the right frequency just as Charlie turned off the jamming stuff - the people on the boat aren't her people so how did that whole thing happen?
Why didn't Charlie make any attempt to exit via the blown-out window? With the room full of water the pressure would have equalised so nothing should have stopped him
I'm rationalising this by the thought that maybe he only had the lung capacity to either show Desmond the writing on his hand or swim out, and since the info was important, he couldn't be sure of surviving the swim (could be some friends of Mr. Grenade waiting) and was certain he was fated to end up drowning anyway, he decided to drown but make sure Desmond knew these people weren't with Penny
I think jack was saying to ask his father knowing they couldn't
they called the boat on the sat-phone
I dont know about the people on the other side of the sat phone - it's likely that the others+our guys have to band together to fight them next season
Penny probably sat on that frequency a lot![]()
And Charlie didn't swim out because Charlie had to tell Desmond something![]()
No idea who's in the casket or at home for kate - but I suggest the writers probably did that to leave themselves open for a death and a love interest for kate that is NOT jack
well, despite all the "they're making it up as they go along" stuff, I think the writes probably have some idea of what they're doing in advance so they can allude to stuff.. so the death + love interest could well already be decided
I agree the people on the boat are probably going to be the focus of next season (in the same way as S1 focused on the crash survivors, S2 on the Others and S3 on the nature of the Island (and some more on the Others)
Yeah the writers do have an outline of the events all the way to the end now
But what they usually do is leave the small details to the everyday writing
There was a point where they had no idea - but the new deal to set an end date forced them to focus
I think the way they put it was that it allowed them to focus ![]()
As opposed to having to stretch it out, play their cards close to their chest, keep the mysteries mysterious for as long as possible and go down plot dead-ends to use up time
Its nice to know that now they have a plan
Yeah for sure - shows a level of respect that is promising
JJ and his team have not done that with things like Alias
Hopefully they show the same respect for Trek![]()
