I submit "Pale Blue Dot" by Carl Sagan.
Although I have not read "Pale Blue Dot" I would imagine that it is more science fiction, of the type that rings Archbishop Reilly's bell.
I therefore humbly submit the following recommended reading, which I am sure is of the genre that will appeal to the highly developed scientific minds of the aforementioned reverend gentleman in particular, and to the faithful followers of The Church Of LOTU in general.

I wouldn't worry too much about "The Human Future in Space" if I were you Cam, the question we need to ask ourselves is "do we have a future here on earth" and the last thing that should concern us (in the short term) is being swallowed by the sun.
But then again I don't believe that I will become immortal, (at least not in my present form) and if you reilly believe that you can attain immortality, then it reilly need not be a concern to you either.

The mind of a marketeer or the mind of someone who knows what they need to tell you about what other people are doing. Still you can't reilly slag them off too much. There are plenty of people around who punt everyone elses opinions and have absolutely no idea whatsoever what the opinion actually means - And the reason you can't slag them off. Well there are always loads of people who are dimmer than them and they are eager to give up a buck or two to keep their heroes going.
