Yes, it's a Howard Jones song but what is love anyway?
People say I love you all the time but what does it actually mean.... ? It means a lot of things to me: appreciation, devotion, affection, attraction and wonder. We embody our love of others and their love of us.
"Love is a perky elf dancing a merry little jig and then suddenly
he turns on you with a miniature machine gun."
- Matt Groening -
More than a word or a feeling, to me it is a state of mind that impacts in a positive way how we choose to observe and interact with the world around us.
But there is more than one type of LOVE - a love for your child is different than your love for a friend, husband, food, animal etc.... So love is many things.....many splended thingss
Very true Amy.

Love? You would only be able to find the true meaning of love once you get old with the same person you married with and still be able to hold hands together while walking side by side whenever you go with your grandchildren's =]
Maybe. I think it does evolve and change over time. Shared experiences definitely create a phenomenal strength, almost an additon and an enhancement to the love, as well as a shared respect. It's a cliche but I do fantasise about that moment with my husband. We have so much peace in our relationship. I like it a lot.
I have just spent 3 days away from my kids - a bit of a treat when they are so young. The love for them is different. It's like I was missing a limb and there is this ache and longing for them. It can make you feel a bit anxious. I think that's natural for a parent. Something to do with their innocence and vulnerability and the role of a nurturer.
Man I had a good time though. I LOVE MELBOURNE!
Sounds like Melbourne was fun Kellie!
It was! We had a good mix of chill-out time, shopping, eating, socialising, drinking, exploring etc... I also caught up with two friends I met in Amsterdam who are now back in Oz. That was really nice too.
"What is love, baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more ...."
