  File Management In Mac Sucks So Much

  File management has to be the worst thing about mac. Moving around, looking for files, how they deal with folders, how they don't show thumbnails. It's awful.

  Spotlight sucks too. Quicksilver is great for apps, but not for files.

  Any 3rd party apps you recommend?

  Switch from PC

  I was a 20 year pc user and now I went Mac. I've had some good things, but with some hardware problems which I know are rare, and the challenge in tweaking my mac, I don't rave about it.

  If it wasn't for http://www.plasq.com/skitch I'd go back today.

  Safari Help - Bookmark Bar

  Hey guys, I need some help.
  
  My FFox is dying so I'm on Safari 3 which is nice and fast.
  
  Problem is that my ffox bookmark toolbar used the favicons with no text. When I import it to safari it ignores the ones without text (doesn't import them).  And my Safari toolbar doesn't show icons anyway.
  
  Any tips?

  Built In Speakers Disappear

  I had headphones plugged in and pulled them out, then put my Macbook Pro to sleep.

  When it woke, the internal speakers wouldn't work. They didn't even appear in the sound, output options.

  I plugged the headphoens back in and restarted.

  Works fine.

  Crazy - but at least there is a work around.

  I love Delete

  I'm using a USB keyboard and it has a full blown, independent delete key. - Yah!!!!

  UnAdvanced Mac

  Mac's philosophy seems to be We'll let you do the basics really easily, but we're not going to give you advanced options.

  I like the basics idea, but I dont' know why you can't give lots of options in the advanced tab. Some of them I really like. e.g. showing the page mini icons in the links toolbar instead of showing a name. safari doesn't allow it.
