This is a video of me waiting (for an hour) in the apple store in San Francisco:
Poor Mick
...you waited why? I'd have left...
Wow. I would have left and come back later. I went to see a genius because I thought my mic jack wasn't working. Turns out it was a simple system preference (although I could have sworn I had checked that). When I got back home, I realized my mics were in fact not working and found that was the real problem.
But the genius seemed like a jerk, although I'm not sure why, maybe I was just pissed I had overlooked something so simple. Although the people before me were asking about using an iPod, to which the genius explianed the process of installing iTunes, and such....
I can't even imagine working for in a store like that, seems like it'd get frustrating very quickly.
bjtitus > It's probably because you have a line in not a mic in. So you need a microphone that has a power source. I have the same "problem" with my Mac Book Pro.
that's what I meant. But do some laptops have a mic in? I would have sworn my microphones worked on the laptop once.
PC have mic in. Mac have line in. I think![]()
Frustrating... thats rare for San Francisco, since the service is generally good there. Bad management - you should complain.
