You'll notice I'm starting to test embedding Tangler discussion with blog posts. Which sort of raises the question about the ultimate intention of Tangler and its fit with blogging.

Definitely. Creating a plugin that auto syncs posts to tangler topics would be great (with excerpts so you know what you're talking about on either side).

Definitely a new way to have a conversation on a blog. It combines chat, blog comments and a forum, great idea!

This is looking awesome. I was kind of hoping this was where Tangler was headed. Embedded Tangler, Tangler with an API, Tangler with OpenId? Magic!

I'm writing this reply from your blog.  I'll wait for the day when you launch a WP-Tangler. All these talks about plugin, pluggable-model, API, etc. are about to make my mind explode. Since the time I first read about Tangler over at Read/Write Web, I've been running in blogosphere to find big and small bloggers talking about Tangler.

I've a question for a blog post that I'm writing on Tangler. When do you expect to release a WP-Tangler? I think that Tangler can be used in many ways on blogs. But when we talk about chatting, is there any option available that allow us to leave private messages using this widget?

I'm gonna put a Tangler widget in my sidebar that'll work like Twitter's grand-daddy!

Yeah, lots of ideas Avinash. Hard to pick the ones to do first. I think a wordpress/tangler plugin is not a long way off, but we might do the API first - then anybody can write one for us.

I'd be interested in pitching in to help with putting together a Wordpress plugin, as apart from anything else, I'm already doing a hell of a lot of conversion work for plugins from Wordpress to Wordpress MU, and I'd be very interested in how this could work with MU.

Can't wait to get an API out so you can help.

I read this on techcrunch but it didn't work. Now that I can see it...I really think this is smoking stuff. My imagination is starting to swell with applications of its use.

Just to say "Hi" and let you know that this must work o.k as even I have managed to embed it in the Member's Room of our board riders site  It works a treat - so far we have only two surfers who've worked it out and joined - (but one of the is the famous Midget)! Brian and Mel speak very highly of you and I did want to catch up with you and your wife and kids but time always seems to get away. Hope all is going well for you in the states.
