ok this post made me crack up as I thought about Richard's (Pendergast, my husband) wardrobe. And with the little one dozing on the couch, I took the opportunity to show everyone what a nerd really wears. These are (badly taken) photos of shirts that he actually wears quite regularly, some on memorable occasions.
This one he was wearing when I found out I was pregnant (very unplanned!)
And this one when I was lying on an operating table having my daughter prematurely at 29 weeks
But with this one I think there is no way of denying that Richie is in fact a nerd - a lovable nerd, but still a nerd.
So I have been asked - which one should he wear to Bar Camp on the weekend? Let's see if we can get some votes and I'll make sure the winner is the only one clean..

oh I just realised - there are one or two in there that are a little bit small for him now (I am a pretty good cook) - I won't say which ones they are. I'm sure he'll wear them anyway.
Yeah? Well in the spirit of sportsmanship I'll wear the shirt, but I won't actually be able to present on Saturday - some pretty amazing things have come up for us, and I've been fairly busy over the last week. I've tried to change my entry on the Barcamp Wiki, but it keeps giving me 500 server errors. Aaaah technology... Don't you love it?

I'm actually really looking forward to Barcamp. I'm not sure what to expect, but looking forward to it nonetheless. It's a pity there won't be more of the Tangler heavyweights present. Maybe an online version using the embedded video wall Marty demonstrated within Tangler could be something that peope might find interesting.

Oh I agree with the Starbucks coffee, but I wouldn't say that just because it is bad, it is part of the dark side... The dark side is seriously misunderstood.
