I bought an iphone! For GI, not me... I just play with it all the time.

She needed a phone, and maps to get around, and access to the web... and the iphone just went on sale here (299 for the low end model), so I got her one.

I have to admit it was also a convenient way of me also trying it out, without having to move over from my KJAM (which I love).

So how is it... well... I have to say this is one amazing piece of work, it has its little annoyances, but they're minor compared to what this thing can do. Mobile browsing, email, ipod, youtube, maps. GI spends hours surfing craigs list. It's also just plain beautiful.

So what's annoying? Can't mass delete email, ATT edge isn't very fast for mobile browsing (at home on wifi works great), keyboard wasn't great at first - but once you start to trust it you get much faster, no copy and paste.

As I said though, these really just aren't that bad... when you're browsing the web on a park bench.

When it comes out... buy it... immediately. You'll love it.
