But it wont let me post from safari
(we need to fix that)
Other than that, it's hands down the best device I've ever used. Mind blowing.
My KJAM finally gave up the ghost after 2 years of trusty service. I replaced it with the newer version, the kaiser, but it turned out to be clunky and the three big things I wanted didn't turn out so good.
3G - nice, but it was still laggy and it killed the battery.
GPS - nice again, but it took so long to sync that it was really just a cool toy. buy an incar nav system - oh and it killed the battery.
Keyboard - slide out mechanism was rough, kept mis-hitting keys, lag on the device hurt this. 2 days on the iphone and I can type much faster.
So basically the Kaiser was nice, but it just didn't compare to the iphone's amazing screen and touch feel.
OK, so a few weeks in and...
yep, iphone only gets better. I can type REALLY fast. And my poor notebook is getting half the usage it had before. Especially just "looking things" up.
The other night I was watching a movie and they mentioned the "Carpathian Mountains". I had an idea they were in Eastern Europe, but not more than that. Out comes the iphone, 20 seconds later I had an answer. I could repeat that story 20 times a day.
It really is a generation ahead.
Buy apple stock. It's heading for $300.
Man. What is that little tablet device they have planned going to be like?! Can't wait!
Oh god no..... I think turning into a macboy....
*groan*
Marty with all the years you have mocked Apple that would be so funny if you went down that channel
And we would never let him live it down, now would we Bambam?![]()
It would be the endless party Joke

And it's already started.
Happy New Year Bambam!
My eyes.... my eyes! Take away the beautiful devices that work well...
Actually I was really close to buying a mac on my last PC upgrade - OSX just rocks as an OS for techies/programmers. But the heat, battery and weight issues on the hardware turned me off a bit, and not having Office 2007 available for software was a pain. I'm watching closely though. If they get a good 13.3" machine and with office 2007 coming out in 2008 (there's an irony to that naming) it's getting to be compelling. I worry about the productivity hit though. Might buy one as a play machine and take some time to convert over.
That is so funny Marty.......I agree that OSX does rock....
I remember how much you used to say how much Macs suck.....they would if Steve Jobs didn't come back to revitalise them.
I bought a new mobile phone. nokia 5700, I like it very much.but compared with iphone, iphone is better.
