One thing: After a spending a little time there that I began to wonder
where all the action was. Of course, then I went to the activity page,
but it's static. Maybe I've been using Tangler too long, but I think
it'd be better suited to the type of information you're presenting to
have some sort of dynamic page for that.

How about adding a Newborn Annoucement List?

You could create it in flash or script so that it can auto scroll through and give the site a feel of "action" as d1 said earlier.

i will keep that in mind

i just started a newborn announcements group. will see if it gets any interest... and maybe build on it from there. 

moderators on the site would be good. un bias people to help with the nastyness that is happening at the moment.

blogs to be private and not for a google search to find.

the use of HTML and bbcodes in the blogs.
