Obtain items until you have no more room for more stuff, then move to a larger place. That way the new place won't feel so empty when you move into it, because you will have more things.
Also if you find you don't accumulate enough things to fill the space you have, then you don't need the larger place, unless there are reasons other than size for moving there.

Why shouldn't the accelerator be used for reverse? It's still accelerating you, increasing your speed, just in the opposite direction from normal. Accelerator = make the engine go, and when you're in reverse gear that moves you backwards... all perfectly logical.
If not the accelerator, what would you recommend? The brake? But that wouldn't work because the brake is there to stop you moving, and moving backwards is just as much moving as moving forwards.

I use Stumbleupon for easy bookmarking... anything I thumb-up gets automatically bookmarked in a Stumbleupon folder, with sub-folders by category. Makes it vaguely possible to find things again so long as I'm selective about what I put in there.
Things requiring more urgent attention I just drag down to a bookmark on my bookmark toolbar until I've dealt with them (then they're removed, unless they've dropped off the right hand side of the toolbar, in which case they're out of sight and mind and just hang around until I think to have a clear out).

introduce your pets to your discs?
I'd worry about CD-splinters being eaten... but if you could train them to relieve themselves onto a disc, dog pee probably doesn't help any when it comes to reading a disc
