Listing to Rolling Stones wild horses, no real reason why....
It was a 3 hour set and they rolled out all the fav's. The first thing I noticed when I checked out the stage and gear was a lack of keyboard and synth. I knew then we were in for a treat. Simon Gallup played bass and looks the same as he did 20 years ago with the spray on black jeans. Robert Smith is still the same and did the usual everything. Couldn't see but I'd say Jason Cooper played drums. The clincher was the addition of Poul Thompson to the lineup who played lead most of the night. All of the usual synth'ed melodies were crashed out on the on Guitar. It was the Cure in their simplest form. Best gig I've been to for a while.
No sanga's, raffle or bingo to report.
