Yeah, he will be 5 on the 13th of Feb. Time flies. Always liked Pavement. Dont think there are many like them. If so I would like to hear. Not from Russia. Don't mind their national drink though. Ruski is a shortened version of my given name.

Listing to Rolling Stones wild horses, no real reason why....
It was a 3 hour set and they rolled out all the fav's. The first thing I noticed when I checked out the stage and gear was a lack of keyboard and synth. I knew then we were in for a treat. Simon Gallup played bass and looks the same as he did 20 years ago with the spray on black jeans. Robert Smith is still the same and did the usual everything. Couldn't see but I'd say Jason Cooper played drums. The clincher was the addition of Poul Thompson to the lineup who played lead most of the night. All of the usual synth'ed melodies were crashed out on the on Guitar. It was the Cure in their simplest form. Best gig I've been to for a while.
No sanga's, raffle or bingo to report.

The album is pretty good. Its some really catchy songs. Not really as upbeat as the Massacre as he said he is trying to go back to his older roots. But its still good.

Only Ones was '79 so they were the robbers. Although they added the 3rd dimension. From that album you may have heard "Another Girl, Another Planet" somewhere sometime.

Setting Sons is to some, the best album of theirs and yup The Eaton Rifles is on it. As well as the best track of all Saturday's Kids
It has to be the album he mastered the Rickenbacker on. It has moments of pure beauty and brilliance that isn't always there on others.
I have never played a Ric but have heard they are a handful.
It's said to feel big.
I didn't go to concerts as a kid, but I did go to the 100 Club in London, once, purely by chance The Jam were playing and he did A Bomb and then smashed his Ric on stage without completing the set.
I'd like to say it was "cool" or 'I was there", but it was sad and.... I was there - you could see he was pissed with it all. Fucking perfectionist.....
