Is this site for US only?

I clicked on Get Started and got the personal info page, and it wouldn't take my 4 digit postcode...

Yes, the site is US only for now, we're really just getting underway.

We ask for zip, age and gender because we use those data points as the basis for a preference "archetype."  It's essentially a way to get a pretty good first cut at what you might be interested in, based on  demographic segments we can infer  from that info.  This ensures people can participate anonymously, and that PII is excluded from MatchKeys.

What happens if I don't fit the preferences of that sector? zip, age and gender seems to me a very restrictive criteria in that case

How would I go about making things to mine?

By using the MatchKey in the application. The key that comes out of the "forge" (what we call that Flash app on the Web) is just a starting point. Each time you react to a film, that reaction is captured. After  4 actions, the key is evolved according to that input, automatically.

Archetypes are just a jumpstart. The more you use the key, the better it gets.
