just curious, how will the lighting system work around the navipad. meaning assume i missed a call or sms, how will that blink versus the typical "breathing."

breathing is slow and elegent and received messages will blink faster.

Also, does the E66's GPS and camera support geotagging out of the box?

no.. we have ITU keyboard having T9 functionality and having a bit  different  functionality

Why was the decision made to not have a dedicated camera key?

We don't have dedicated camera key as it did not fit into this concept.

Camera can be used with scroll key and the 'T' key can be used for auto focus. Very handy!

so the shutter is separate from the focus button?

The scale down of the size from E61 to E71 ,has its issues with the keypad size isn't it,So do u think its convenient enough for all users?

yes, it is separate. shutter is the scroll-select key and focus is T-key. It can be learned quickly.

can you please make an option so autofocus and shutter key can be a single button press? in a future firmware.

I can't say I see that being handy, but I've not used the device personally, so we'll see.

I was wondering wether the e71 actually has the accelerometer but just not the flip screen function? Can you decline calls by turning the phone like e66?

There is intelligent input for qwerty which is capable to auto/complete and auto-correct the words. based on usability tests it is really fast and error-free.

E71 does not have accelerometer.

Why did u think to include that bottom metallic part,is it solely for the design or any other use?

the bottom is not metallic, it is plastic. back cover and frame around device is metal.

any way whats the use of that,it seems like  a separate part

the new email set up wizard is available in e66 and e71.

One touch keys can be customized otherwise except Home key.

In other qwerty phones the z-key is below the s, but not in the e71? Is it on purpose you brought this 'flaw' onwards from the e61(i) ?

Unlike on E61 there aren't any gaps between keys why is that will this effect in the typing speed?

the qwerty layout is optimized for this size and we want to have there as many buttons as possible. that is why the layout might not be totally same as in laptops.

what FP2 features will be back ported to this device? i know transitions are one feature, but what about the new access point management system?

the new E71 is 57 mm narrow only, i.e. remarkably smaller than earlier devices. but thanks to intelligent input the typing is extremely fast and error/free

Does the GPS support TMC via the radio reciever, otherwise or at all?

quickoffice pro package is included, i.e. editing possibility is there. My favorite part is absolutely the nice small pocketable size and design!!

according to Nokia's website there will be a north american 3G version for the E71
