  Integrated Products

  hey everyone. as you may or may not know, we integrate with a stack of products - from zoho through to snipshots for image editing, then our own apps for managing archives (zip, rar, etc.). Are there any apps that you would like to see integrated? We are putting together a new settings panel that will allow you to select which type of files get opened with which apps, so we will eventually get to having whole heap of apps integrated and leaving you the choice of which apps you can use. So, what apps should we integrate with now? What would you like to use with your Omnidrive files and content - we will be working on building some widgets, and also some plugins for the common blog platforms - what do you all think?

  hey awesome feedback - your right about that intermitant page that we show, we need a big 'next' button to take you to the login screen. as for the downloads folder, I think we need to create 'Mac' and 'Windows' sub-folders. One thing we can do, is that in our next release, files and folders will have a 'description' field, and in that field we could put some help text.

  Security

  yes its fine, its standard cookie-based sessions, like what most web apps use. Omnidrive is actually very agressive in this regard as we don't have a 'remember' function and we destroy the cookie session after 20 minutes

  Usability

  Hey NuclearStr1der, you can use the web interface on Linux, either Firefox or a khtml based browser. The advanced uploader requires a Java runtime on the client

  Error on Publish - url goes to different file

  Unable to click on "Settings"

  interesting problem, haven't heard that before. you have another way of getting ot settings and that is by clicking on your username in the bottom-left hand corner - give that a go and let us know if you have any issues

  Where do I find the plugins?

  ye interesting guys, thanks a lot. I also like how Tangler is being used for feedback and support - I will put a link back to this group from our website, support section, blog and from within the app too. We need a new 'plugins' section in the web interface that lets you define which apps you use to open which files types etc. im hopnig we can launch that soon

  ye it happens with most Java applets - to get around it we need to get the applet signed by a verified certificate authority, and even with that it will still prompt you

  How would/do you use it?

  bjtitus: At Omnidrive, we are building a stable, scalable and easy to use storage platform - not a social network for files, two different use cases and different sets of users. As an aside, we actually integrate very well with other apps, we have integragted with over a dozen so far and there are another 50 or so in development - if there is anything that we do well it is being a platform for other apps to integrate with
