I progressively came to use Particls less and less, and have now abandonded it. I'm using Twine a lot, as well as AideRss and Youlicit. I haven't looked at the new Yoono but it could be cool too. Competition is heavy, which is nice... Am really looking forward to trying Particls 2...
Just checked the Particls blog. My impression is that DP and APML seem to be more important priorities for Faraday Media than Particls. Has Chris said anything about this lately?

If the French had won the Rugby World Cup, priorities would of course have been revised. Unfortunately this didn't happen...

Hyperdata and the future of attention monitoring
A very nice post yesterday on Nova Spivack's blog. It's about the semantic web as hyperdata.
What does this have to do with Particls and attention modeling? Today, RSS allows us to subscribe to sources that bring us new documents, which Particls attempts to filter based on our interest profile. In the future, we will subscribe to topics (concepts, available on the web as data items) and we will be notified, by hyperdata-enabled RSS feeds, when they evolve. A hyperdata-enabled Particls will then map this evolution of the world-wide database to our interests...

Don't know about you, but some weirdos often make it to my sidebar, without any reason (to my knowledge). I mean, items coming from sources rated as "disliked", and not containing any of the words in my watchlist nor in the implicit section of my APML file. Maybe an "explain" option in the right-click menu (showing why this item was not filtered out) would be a nice addition for debugging purposes?
