Don't know about you, but some weirdos often make it to my sidebar, without any reason (to my knowledge). I mean, items coming from sources rated as "disliked", and not containing any of the words in my watchlist nor in the implicit section of my APML file. Maybe an "explain" option in the right-click menu (showing why this item was not filtered out) would be a nice addition for debugging purposes?
Conversely, it would be interesting to see why some posts that I can read in my aggregator didn't make it to the Particls sidebar. When I have some free time, I'll try to check the ranking of such posts with the Engagd API. But an option "Rank URL [...]" would be nice to have within Particls itself.
Francois - will look into this for you
I noticed this too. I wonder if the reason is similar to what I noticed at technorati: Technorati Support
These spammers are hard to fight.
Ciao.
After one month I use particls I'm satisfy about its behavior.
But the ranking logic sometime (35% of times) failed. I don't know why the resources tagged "indifferent" or worst produces sometime most
result than "good" resources. And that considering key word too. Of course, must to consider the frequence of every resources
output's production. Uhm... another reason for this behavior maybe is the number of selected resources: I've 50/60 url in my
list of feeds. Not much?
Thanks.
Hi Frederico - thanks for the Feedback. We are going to be further improving the Ranking logic over the coming months - please let us know if you notice it get better or worse!
