I have a problem with the newsticker

It is fantastic and i love it - its the best way for me to use particls. However everytime my machine restarts the news ticker doesnt.

I have a shortcut to the particles exe in my startup folder so particles restarts automatically. If I then go to my tray icon and right clock the news ticker is at the top and it is enabled - as i left it. however i have to disable it and then re enable it in order for it to show.

is anybody else having this issue?

i am running vista business on a quad core with 4 monitors and the newsticker is docked at the top of the right hand most monitor - it always comes back there so at least it remembers that bit.

Same with XP. According to a message I received from Chris Saad on the issue,

The ticker behaviour is a known issue - it has really been replaced by the sidebar.

I prefer to be able to choose between either one; depending on what I'm doing, I consider the sidebar too intrusive. Let's see how does forthcoming version 2.0 behaves.

 

Jethro - WOW - 4 monitors - how do you find that ? I ran four for a while but found that i had too large a desktop and scaled back to just the 2 large ones.

Yes there is an issue with the newsticker - Version 2 is nearly there so keep with it for a while
