Just asking..........
Cheesteaks... try Pat's or Ginos and one of the other big ones (just ask people on the street when you get there)
Philadelphia is also of great historical significance for the US. The declaration of independence was written and signed here in 1972. The Liberty Bell and Constitution Hall may be cool place to go, but I've never been there myself (except walking by). Bad Philadelphian, Jason. Bad.
The Philly museum of art is pretty cool as is the Franklin Institute is your into learning about science stuff ect. I haven't been to the FI for many years; maybe I'll take a trip and give an update.
The night life is not too interesting, I'd have to say. Many people go to the "Old City" area around 2nd and Market. They have some bars there that charge a bit more than the average bar. Enjoy!
For food (beside Cheesesteaks), I only have to recommend a place called "Vietnam" (http://www.eatatvietnam.com) in china town (near 11th and Vine). Make sure you don't go to "Vietnam Palace", which is right across the street. Get the spring rolls. Pork in a clay pot is good. Pho is good.
