The UK's Sunday Telegraph has an interesting article today about Gore joining the race for The White House later this year.
He'll need to shed a few kilos.
I hope he does throw his hat in the ring.
And gets promptly thrown out shortly thereafter.
Erik, a bit of charity please Man. Consider how much better and safer a world we would all be living in if your candidate had not stolen the election from Mr Gore in 2000.
You've got a point there, but I truly believe he could best contribute to stopping climate change is to just shut up. The world can not tolerate all the hot air that comes out of him. His autobiorgraphy is going to be called "The Great Gas Bag".
Without Gore we would not be having a climate change debate. Your mate Bush's mate Howard would still be in his burrow with Jonesy.
True, with Gore we'd all be riding our bicycles to the collective farm to pick root vegetables to trade in the local market. Socialismo O Muerte!
Gore has gone from semi serious politican to minor celebrity which probably makes him the ideal person to run the world. Alex, you must have a read of Mark Steyn's book, America Alone. Apart from being very funny in parts, its makes you realise that those of us with four children have done the rest of you a favour.
Yeah, at least he has an Oscar. The last actor we had as pres didn't. That's worth something.
An Oscar is a qualification too far for a world leader.
I was thinking the same.... tho technically, he wasn't the recipient was he?
Me thinks he just loves giving speeches
All of you must cease trying to be clever and associating a president with ANYTHING and consider who would really be best served to be the Leader of The Free World. IF you are Erik and American sure you might have have concern that Gore was going to deliver less $$ to your net income but if you're the Rest Of The World SURELY ALL of you would agree that Gore, now or then, would have managed world affairs in a manner which would deliver a much better chance of abatement of terrorism.
It raises the question: has Bush beaten around the bush?
That's not abundantly clear. Remember Hillary Clinton voted in favour of the Iraq war, so it's unclear if a president Bore would have behaved differenty. Obama is the only candidate who has been consistent in opposing the war, and the NBC poll out last night shows him gaining in popularity amongst democrats.
If you examine Gore's record, he opposed the war from Day 1.
