Randomised Ranting about stuff!
The worst government department I've ever had to deal with would have to be the Motor Registry offices in each state. I head in on my lunch break and it goes something like this: Me: "Hi I'd like to register my car" Them: "Fill out these fifteen forms and then go and stand in line again for two hours just to get a number and then wait another two hours until we call you" And guaranteed that when I get back to the counter you wont be able to help me then either, or you'll tell me that you forgot to give me one more form to fill out so I'll have to go through the whole process again and then come back another day because "We're closing in 5 minutes"
Well how 'bout I drive my car through the side of the building and run you bastards over! ... Then after that they'll probably deem it "unroadworthy"
Bastards.

Ok, so I sat for over 2 hours deciding what I wanted for lunch today when I decided I would get a meat pie. I walked out of my office and somebody walked past me with a paper bag and that pie smell just wafting behind them.. that sealed the deal. Pie for lunch.
Walked into the cafe, there's only 3 pies left sitting in the pie-oven-thingy and as I'm waiting in line, much to my disbelief and horror, the people in front of me ordered the pies, one by one and walked out.
YELL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is Christmas here already?
Seriously!! They've got decorations for sale in stores, Some even have started to hang them already - we have the Christmas sales ("buy now, save for xmas!") and people making Christmas plans.
IT'S SEPTEMBER?!?!?!??
I used to get annoyed when they started in October...
Is it just me, or does Christmas seem to come earlier every year?

If you have a phone account with telstra, you have the ability to put them out of action for a few hours.
Basically, it works on an open-line technology. If you don't hang up, it leaves an open line, so no matter how many times they try to hang up, they can't because when they pick up the phone again, they're still connected to your call.
Next time a telemarketer calls you, just put the phone aside and walk away for a few hours.

So yesterday I get called for a job interview...
And today they call me back telling me they made a mistake...
And then they call me back telling me they actually do want me, but could I start right away - as in NOW
And of course I can't so they tell me they'll keep my cv on file which i know they wont because nobody ever does that
And HATE!! because they got my hopes up....
