I run a small office of up to 5 people. We are doing OK. We are a branch office to another about 100km away that has 20 people, but we could operate autonomously.
Heres the rant ...
I keep getting hospital passes from head office with unrealistic deadlines?
I usually take them. Someone has to do it.
As a get square recently, I oversaw the completion of a couple of jobs passed up here and returned everything for them to publish at the same time. Publish being print, edit and all that. Apparently this created a lot of stress and I got into trouble for not sequencing or some other shit. Should I tell them to go fuck themselves sideways?
Yes.... but using your clever sarcasm![]()
Sarcasm rarely works in these situations. "You sent it in the wrong sequence" usually means that they were a bit shocked you managed to complete the stuff and then they had to do something with it and then they fucked up but see an opportunity to carve off some of the shit to you... And the reason that sarcasm doesn't work is that they rarely have the intelligence to comprehend it...
True...
But isn't there some satisfaction to be gained from the fact that they didn't get your insult?![]()
I agree Dek. The more invisible it is to the "victim" the more satisfaction from the "perpetrator". Sometimes though, in the corporate world, sarcasm that is too subtle for the victim to comprehend will usually be interpreted as stupidity...
LOL at the re-living of this moment.
Problem nipped in the bud a year ago.
Better late than never.... or is it?
