So yesterday I get called for a job interview...

And today they call me back telling me they made a mistake...

And then they call me back telling me they actually do want me, but could I start right away - as in NOW

And of course I can't so they tell me they'll keep my cv on file which i know they wont because nobody ever does that

And HATE!! because they got my hopes up....

I really wanted this

Oh well Morgan, if they're like that, maybe it's better that you don't go there.

It's a disappointment I know, but maybe for the best in the long run..

I hate gutless people that haven't the courage to tell people the truth at interviews and the "we are interested in your cv and will keep it in file for future reference" is the coward's way of telling you that you haven't got the job.

@ andro - I didn't even get an interview!

They wanted me to start right away and i couldn't do that.... but they did want me.. they even asked me if I could start, no interview necessary.

I'll call them next week and see if I can still come in for a 'chat' to discuss any future opportunities - and also so they keep me on their radar..

I'm fairly good at negotiating 

I reckon I can talk myself into a job - even if I get to start in a month or so
