This year has not been a good one for computering so far, having only managed to have both my desktop and laptop working at the same time for about 5 miuntes.

I recently upgraded my desktop and all was going well (until my wife used it) and now it point blank ignores all attemps to coax some life into it.

I then decided to resuscitate my laptop, which was mostly successful...apart from the battery not charging, power button, speakers and half the keys on the keyboard not working.

On the bright side, I can still get into Tangler....

I even tried threatening it with Morgan, which had no effect so i'm thinking it might be terminal..

I think these might be appropriate...

Stoooopid computers!

At the moment I'm on Computer #1, which does not have a working sound card, and is running Firefox as the main browser (which I'm not happy with after v2.x - might change back to Opera).  As long as I don't want to hear anything on it, and I don't want it to take to one of my mobile phones (I have 5 in my household) all is good (but slow).

Computer #2 however seems to not like me much any more. Power supply on it has died (I think) as I turned it off in April, managed to turn it on twice since then for about three hours and it just turned itself off.  Wouldn't be an issue as I don't really use it, except that it is has a few earlier episodes of life on mars UK and ashes to ashes that I want to watch again, and it's the one that I was using to play music.

Nearly forgot computer #3.  My old XT that's in the shed and in pieces.  Still has the original Tetris and Digdug.

Keyboard issues are mostly fixed, though not all of the keys respond all of the time.

Desktop is taunting me, it managed to load ing windows once, but has since refused to do anything remotely helpful.

It is now sitting in many, many pieces....
