You don't use 100% of your brain in the same way as you don't use 100% of your muscles - i.e. you don't use it all at once. It's not like there's a little corner of the brain doing everything, and all the rest is just spare grey goo... all of it gets used in one way or another.

Firefox 3 does take up too much memory

Firefox has always taken up too much memory, but to my understanding FF3 is an improvement over FF2...

I love me some Firefox too, but it does have a tendency to eat up a lot of RAM

Right now... 116MB of memory being used to display 6 tabs. Seems excessive... although the window has been open quite a while, so it may have accumulated over time.

I just cleaned out 63 tabs at 521MB + a restart to keep 31 tabs at 191MB.  I don't worry though, RAM is cheap and I have 2GB to spare.

You all haven't moved on to Google Chrome yet?

Google Chrome looks a bit over-minimalist for my tastes, I prefer to have my menus where I can see them. Plus I'd really miss some of my Firefox extensions.

Tabs hogs/whores never fail to surprise me... I couldn't handle that many tabs open all the time

i can't generally do more than 3 or 4....but....one of my addons is taboo.....which will save any tabs i'm interested in for later........so i don't have to keep them open indefinitely.....

My tab-count rarely goes below 3 or 4
