    What country?

    What letter?

    2008-12-17 19:26:47.0

    Fix'd.

    2008-12-17 19:36:11.0

    GREENS? algae greens , country greens, greens statement/letter in green party?

    2008-12-17 23:24:14.0

    Nothing to do wih green.

    2008-12-18 05:36:43.0

    Does this have anything to do with ASCII, etc?

    2008-12-21 15:33:35.0

    And you don't have to 'solve' anything.

    2008-12-21 16:16:31.0

    Although it would probably help, as you can't get the answer to the first question without knowing atleast one letter in the axiom.

    2008-12-21 16:17:07.0

    Is the ABCD stuff a code in base 4?

    2008-12-21 16:40:48.0

    Nope.

    Not any base.

    2008-12-21 17:05:48.0

    look at the numbers, though... then compare them to the code... ;P

    Algae = NORI, SEAWEED, IRISH MOSS, genus Chondrus, P. laciniata, Dulse,  Rhodymenia palmata, Iridaea edulis

    COUNTRY=JAPAN or CHINA or KOREA or IRELAND or ENGLAND or Scotland

    LETTER= SUSHI , I or VITAMIN B

    (not in specific order pairing with each other)

    Dulse, is a common name for several edible red algae that grow on rocky marine coasts. It is used widely as a food or condiment. Purple seaweeds of the genus Porphyra, sometimes called laver, are the most widely used for this purpose. P. laciniata is grown in large quantities in Japan. Rhodymenia palmata, which is eaten in the British Isles and in other northern countries, has a purple, leathery frond. Iridaea edulis, eaten in southwestern England and Scotland, has a succulent, dull-purple frond. Dulse is rich in protein and iron and has 22% more protein than chickpeas, almonds, or whole sesame seeds. A handful gives a whole day's supply of iron. The same handful will provide more than 100% of the RDA for Vitamin B6 and 66% of the RDA for Vitamin B12.

    2008-12-22 10:22:19.0

    None of the above is correct.

    2008-12-22 10:23:49.0

    Like, none of it?

    2008-12-22 10:25:24.0

    Correct.

    2008-12-22 10:34:34.0

    You seem surprised?

    Tongue out

    2008-12-22 10:34:48.0

    Couldn't really care less, actually. :P

    2008-12-22 10:38:28.0

    He's only looking at the clue and not what the letters above mean UndecidedTongue out

    2008-12-22 11:10:43.0

    Letters in the numbered positions are

    CACBDACB (line 1)

    ACBACBCBD (line 2)

    only difference is letter B

    I could not rearrange the letters above further to represent algae or country.....:)

    2008-12-22 11:22:30.0

    LAND? PLANT?  Vitamins (ABCD)

    CHINA? CHOY?  C (vitamins)

    2008-12-22 11:45:57.0

    Incorrect, the first line has 3 letters, the second 4, and so on.

    2008-12-23 21:25:59.0

    that's what I thought.  Doesn't spell much.  Also, there aren't enough letters.

    2008-12-23 21:29:18.0

    Right. Need a vague hint?

    2008-12-23 21:31:59.0

    1 of the 4 letters (ABCorD) is not in the axiom.

    2008-12-25 06:19:22.0

    L-System?

    Hungary?

    Fibonacci?

    Lindenmayer?

    DC? Columbia?

    Cells?

    Rules?

    Wall? Algal wall/china wall

    2008-12-29 10:23:22.0

    L System. I was just about to come here and post that as a help:)

    2009-01-08 16:05:29.0

    The interesting thing is that in my time-of-day-when-I-zone-out-of-lectures I was able to expand it to 12 levels:)

    So what is the letter?

    You still have to find the axiom for the point.

    2009-01-08 16:06:36.0

    Ohh, and I am analyzing the patterns right now... very interesting.

    I was thinking about applying it to RNA codons, but the starts (CDC seems to start every fragment in the 12th level) don't match up with actual codons... Maybe a differen't level will...

    And then I'll get the amino acid sequence for cow insulin!

    Tongue out

    2009-01-08 16:08:42.0

    Rules=

    C->AB
    D-> AC
    A->C
    B->D

    Axiom or start= ABC

    So, letter D is not in axiom

    3= A         B       C

    4= C                D                  A         B

    6= A       B        A       C          C         D

    9=C       D        C       A    B     A    B     A    C

    13=A   B   A   C    A   B   C    D     C    D     C    A   B

    19=C   D   C   A B  C   D   A B  A C   A B  A C   A B  C   D

    28=A B A C A B C D  A B A C C D  C A B C D  C A B C D  A B A C

    41=C D C ABC D ABAC C D C ABABAC ABC D ABAC ABC D ABAC C D C AB

    60=ABACABCDABACCDCABABACABCDCDCABCDABACCDCABCDABACCDCABABACABCD

    country?

    2009-01-12 23:09:50.0

    Letter could either be 'd' or 'l' -- for lsystem.

    You derive the country from the acronym 'ABC'.

    Very good. I extended it to line 12 to try and find repeating patterns as stated above, and found out that I accidentally mis-tanslated a few values in one of the lines, but apparently that was no problem to you.

    2009-01-16 17:36:21.0

    Diadema = (letter D) - addition ....ABCD region

    Argentina, Brazil and Chile, = ABC countries

    Brazil = industrial region of ABC

    currently ABCDMRR  (addition of Mauá, Ribeirão Pires and Rio Grande da Serra.)

    The term ABC Region is an industrial region in Greater São Paulo, Brazil.

    The name refers to three smaller cities bordering on São Paulo, capital of the Brazilian state of the same name. Originally, these three cities were Santo André, São Bernardo do Campo, and São Caetano do Sul. Later, the region became known as the ABCD, with the addition of the city of Diadema. Today the region is formally, and less memorably, known as the ABCDMRR, with the addition of Mauá, Ribeirão Pires and Rio Grande da Serra.

    Aruba Bonaire Curacao

    Admiralty Baranof and Chichagof Islands

    Association of British Columbia

    Agriculture bank of china

    2009-01-18 13:17:10.0

    Heh.

    Nope.

    2009-01-19 13:15:40.0

    If it is not letter "D" then it is "L" ...I am sure this is correct.

    I am beating the hell out of myself to find acronym for ABC...few more.....

    American Broadcasting Company

    Australian Bank of Commerce

    America?

    Brazil?

    California?

    2009-01-19 23:31:36.0

    China?

    2009-01-19 23:32:09.0

    American bank center

    Agricultural Biotechnology Council

    Aquaflow Bionomic Corporation

    If none of above is true, then is ABC directly state country or ABC is an entity which belongs to a particular company like ABC news, USA

    2009-01-19 23:47:36.0

    I said that it could be either d or l, making either correct.

    America.

    2009-01-20 14:30:13.0

    oh, how ABC give america?
    I thought it must be Curacao - because they are reffered to as the ABC islands.... But FunGuy already said that.

    2009-01-20 15:00:55.0

    American Broadcasting Corporation.

    Of course most of those would have worked, but I like to be more specific about things:)
