has anyone developed an incisional hernia after an anterior spinal fusion?

i had scoliosis surgery about 3 1/2 years ago and i get a very painful protrusion on my right side (the side of my incision) right under my ribs. this has been going on for a while, and my surgeon insists there is nothing wrong with me.

i have been googling this, and i found out about incisional hernias. i was wondering if this is a probably diagnosis?
