Do you like the way Scouta looks? Colours, pictures, etc.
It looks good, but a bit confusing...
I couldn't quite figure out what to do etc
Yep design confusing for me too, I'm used to clean web 2.0 kind of design, so I was a bit surprised with Scouta's design![]()
I like that it looks funky. Love the colours.
But thing needed to be made more clear I think. I'll have a look at it again soonish
I also found the home page confusing.
I think with search you can just give me a search box and let the pudding do the talking!
way too busy
I needed that clearer messaging... what did it do for me?
yeah, too busy!
Needed to concentrate on a much clearer use case. I do THIS ONE THING!![]()
i'm a big fan on the concentrate on the value. But when in beta it's a good idea for a product to leave some room for the users to influence the product. So there's no need to be too harsh just yet. Let it evolve a little.![]()
Mick: yeah, we're planning on a complete revamp of the front page, as I agree, it isn't clear what Scouta does.
I don't like the layout of the profile edit page:
The way the words and boxes are spaced is counter-intuitive to me. I had to keep referring up to the first criteria and box to confirm which detail goes in which box
The colour scheme is easy on the eye. There must be something good about orange, black and beige! (See the new bits on Tangler!)
I like the logo too. It feels hip to me. A bit groovy. But not too groovy which is good for someone like me (older, parent, outside of 'youth culture'). I imagine it would also appeal to the younger generation too.
The homepage does not alienate me. The latter point is important because I find websites are often too clean and clinical and I expect them to be geeky and run a mile.
I liked the first clip I opened so that is encouraging...
Kasta: Thanks heaps. Good you like it.
