What search engines do you search with?

From where do you execute the searches?

I'm currently trying out  a research tool:

Aware bills itself as  a context-aware, personal research tool designed to help  manage online research. It refines searches based on my personal 'thumbs up or thumbs down" ranking of returned results and also does a content analysis on the results to refine its next target list...

Obviously it doesn't have the value add of community ranking... but I'm looking for more of whats 'good' by my definition than whats 'popular' or 'neat' by someone else's

A place for both approaches? probably so I'll give Scouta a workout. to see.

I dont see scouta as a method of searching, it's more for discovery of content. So I would go there to have a look at interesting content on a particular subject.

I'd love to be able to subscribe to groups/tags and get an RSS feed. Filtering by friends or reputation would be nice as well.

Sorry all...I changed the description for this topic, as Scouta is not about Search.....it's about discovery, or more precisely, recommendations for audio and video.

How I discover - friends, Tangler, I see something somehwere and wonder if there's more online - in which case I search for it in youtube or google vid

"Discovery of Content", exactly. I was thinking it reminds of those magazines that are created for people with similar interests - I don't mean women's mags or men's mags or fishing mags. I mean the slightly gutsy, quirky, nicely designed ones that are designed specifically for their membership.
