I saw the paper where SES was used to measure similarity between EEG channels. Could SES be used with the Hilbert Huang Transform to produce a measure of "instantaneous cross-correlation" between two signals? Ideally, it would be a 3D plot of time versus lag versus cross-correlation between the two signals.
Any ideas?
