In fact we tried to focus on the market of slideshows (PowerPoint and OpenOffice files) sharing; Flickr is more focus on the phots sharing market. There is one big competitor : slideshare. But we tried to improve in the field of security and internationalization (as we are located in Switzerland, localization is very important for us. We plan to support the maximum of European languages soon).

Open languages : what do you mean ? add translations of the interface ? 

Some programs like Remember The Milk have options to go and write translations for languages. They just do it through a database. It's pretty cool. Users do it for free and other users check it.

You can delete because it's your group. Moderation.

Looks cool; but the moment we have the chance to live in a multicultural country, and that's not so hard to find people who speak natively differents languages (German, Spanish, Italienish). The advantage is that I'm sure at 100% that the translations are well done and accurate. But I'll take a deeper look at the site you are mentionning in order to see how we can use them.
