Completely Cheesy... I am a designer, blah blah blah. I love Gardening and Cooking and hanging out with my husband and our good friends. I am pretty basic and am very happy with that. Conversely.... I am, and have been for most of my life, fascinated with vampires. They were my costume du jour when I was a kid and they have thrilled and terrified me ever since.
"Two Blondes" - Short Story 9.5 from Sookieverse
maybe look at it like the appetizer before the main course? Of course from what I am reading here it is more like the pallet cleansing sorbet...

True Blood: S3, Episode 7 Discussion
Four words about this weeks installment of Alan Ball's fanfic.... Sucked a fat one... Have not read everyone's post, so I am not sure if everyone (or anyone) will agree, but this one topped the over the top and dumb scale....

Mise en scène: Critical Analysis of True Blood
My big thought on the whole of season three.... Russel Edgington has saved this season from being truly bland... His character has provoked so much in all of the other characters in a completely unexpected way... All of his one on ones with every single one of them, including in the car with Eric on his way to see SA... His honest admission to his master plan, assuming that Eric would be completely on board... His discussions with Bill, sharing his honest understanding of the nature of things when you have been around forever and managing to sound wise as opposed to patronizing... He is amazing....
Lafayette is, as always, a complex character with a facade of confidence that is limited to areas where there is no real personal investment... When faced with anything real, Nelson Ellis (Lafayette) is masterful at conveying that edge of uncertainty that is followed by bluster (?).
And the rest? AP as Sookie... She is becoming a little stronger in how she portrays Sookie and much truer to the voice of the book character... Her looks have improved in the last few episodes too... She is still wonky... but better....
Sam is dull as dishwater and his brother dog fighting is not the strongest choice of topics when it comes to incorporating drama with his family. Sam's family is uncomfortably well played, but are unfortunately relegated to one of the weaker subplots.
Tara is Tara is Tara is Tara.... Sort dull but definitely improves with exposure to crazy? She is a crazy magnet... Maybe on the same level that Sookie is a Supe magnet...... but still not my favorite.
I love Jessica.... She is the best off book move that AB has made...
The remaining not discussed.... is not discussed for a reason.. They are the hamburger helper of this season... (yes, as much as I love Jason and think that Ryan K. is awesome, I am bored with him)... and I am not even going to start with Hotshot...
Maybe more colorful than critical....

True Blood Season Three Info **THREAD CLOSED/READ ONLY**
Okay.... Bill might not be such a saint... Think about it, he is probably not wanting to turn her on orders of the Queen...

True Blood: S3, Episode 4: "9 Crimes" Discussion
Quick thoughts on the episode.... Eric was awesome (of course) and I think that AP gets weirdly better and more attractive when she acts with AS. I do like their chemistry, even if I don't like AP for the part of Sookie. I also thought that she was decent when she got dumped and had the ugly crying face... It was not heart braking at all but seemed as ridiculous as a first breakup usually is..
I liked the Bill scenes too. He is giving up and giving over... Saying the proverbial "fuck it", which is good stuff. You know he is torn but he is still doing the wrong thing because... well "fuck it"
And Franklin Mott (Though up against Tara the tard) is good AND creepy... I like that he is a stalker bitch who is all about Tara in a super creepy way... I also noticed that he hinted at Tara being a witch? Makes me wonder if AB is blending book Tara and Book Amelia into TV Tara....
The rest of it was pretty boring, but the "V" selling, Pam saving, Bill fucking up, Eric bullshitting to buy time and try to save Pam and Lafayette getting closer to being turned (there were moments where he hinted at considering it) make it mostly worth while. I will definitely keep watching....
Oh one big thing that I did notice... Alcide being drawn to Sookie and then looking perplexed about it like, "Why do I like this girl" stuff...

So who knows about Niall being Sookie's Great Grand Father... At the end of FDTW, to Sookie's Knowledge, only Eric, Sam, Claudine and Claude know. Eric because that is how Niall approached Sookie and Sam because he walked out of the bar with Sookie and Niall was waiting outside. Claude and Claudine know because they are her cousins.
By the middle of Dead and Gone the list has grown to include Mr Cataliades, Diantha and Bill.
Mister C (and subsiquently Diantha) knows about Niall being Sookie's Great Grandfather. When he sent Diantha to warn Sookie about the impending fae war, she said, "He says (mr. c) that the fairies are moving around in this world. He says to be careful. He says that they will take you if they can and they will hurt you." She goes on to say, "Your Great Grand Father has many enemies." Sookie does not think to ask how Mr. C knows which is weird because it is a very closely guarded secret. They go one to discuss who Niall's enemies are and why (he is at war with the only other prince about mixing with humans... yada yada yada) and they discuss how Sookie's grandfather died (choppedintopieces). Something that Sookie did not know about through Niall... They end the discusion with Sookie asking what Diantha would do if she was caught and Diantha responds, "godownfightin"... Sookie picks up on Diantha thinking about Gladiola who had died from the sweep of a vampire's sword..... Enter Bill.
Eric tells Sookie that only he and Bill know that Niall is Sookie's great Grandfather. Sookie did not even question this either.. How does Bill know? Could Bill have figured it out on his own? As suggested in the D&G topic, would he have put the pieces together when Niall was at the wedding in FDTW? He knew that Sookie was part fea. Would he have guessed that this was why Niall was there? Is there a chance that he knew before hand?
In my own opinion..... Fintan is chopped to bits by bad fairies sometime shortly before the series is set to begin and his closely guarded secret, his family, is no longer protected. Hadley gets in with the New Orleans vamps and is turned by the Queen... They know that she is a fairy (they have had her blood) so they start doing a little digging. Since Fintan is out of the way, they are able to dig around and find out who her great grand daddy is. They also know that Hadley has a cousin that is a telepath, since Hadley is trying to impress the queen and won't shut up about it.. and since the fea is paternal, they know that Sookie is part fea too and that her GGD is Niall... The Queen knows & Andre knows so Cataliades knows (?) and they want to get her for their own use (leverage / telepath - Total package). They send Bill to seduce Sookie behind Eric's back for the use of the queen... Bill falls for Sookie, which was completely unexpected...
Toward the end of LDID, it becomes clear that Bill has made some sort of deal with Eric about Sookie's protection... I think that Bill started piecing together stuff about Sookie and realized that he was not up for the task of protecting Sookie alone, so he told Eric just enough about what he knew to keep his nose somewhat clean and still get Eric's help, possibly by telling Eric that he could have Sookie if anything happens to him. Bill starts to feel guilty (?) and acts all weird with Sookie at the beginning of CD. When he is taken by lorena and tortured and they keep asking for Sookie, he realizes that there is more to this than he thought... Bill is an excellent investigator so he dug up the fact that Niall was Sookie's GGD... While he was at it, he discovers that Cataliades (who knows about Sookie and Niall) is in cahoots with someone and that someone (Nevada?) is after Sookie.....
So if you have read the forum, you may know that Laura (Imb1309) has a theory that Bill was the one who killed Gladiola. Gladiola was sent by Mr. Cataliades to deliver a message to Sookie about coming to New Orleans to clear up the details of Hadley's estate. The evidence was that Bill seemed strange when Sookie was going to New Orleans with Mr. Cataliades and seemed even more strange when Sookie told him they were burning a demon body (Gladiola) in her driveway (like it slipped his mind that demons needed to be burned). At the time the going theory on his motivation was that he was trying to keep Sookie from finding out about his deception. This always sounded right to me but I think it goes deeper than originally thought.... Bill knows about Niall... He knows that Cataliades knows and that Cataliades is dubious at the very least (maybe after Sookie and not for the queen). He finds Gladiola in the woods and slices her in half....
Why send Gladiola to tell Sookie they are coming to get her in a week? Why not call? He sent Diantha to tell Sookie about the fea war because he could not call or have a record that he had any involvement.. Cataliades and Diantha show up a week later with some story of "oh Gladiola did not give you the message?" only to find her dead... They knew she was dead before they left New Orleans. She was not sent to deliver a message, but to get Sookie.. The royal telepathic asset.... Why is Bill so nervous about Sookie going with Mr. Cataliades? Bill goes with her to New Orleans and is stopped from trying to tell Sookie something several time by Cataliades. The simple answer is that Cataliades is stopping Bill from telling Sookie that he (Bill) was sent by the queen to seduce her. Why would Cataliades care if Sookie knew about Bill's betrayal? Bill knows that they know about Niall and that the (Cataliades and crew) are up to something bad.
So Cataliades in in cahoots with Nevada now.. Probably was all along. If Cataliades knows that Niall is Sookie's Great Grandfather, doesn't it stand to reason that Nevada knows about Niall? What does Eric say? "I can't predict Felipe's reaction if he finds out, my lover." Maybe he already has some idea?

Fantasy Casting: If Only Alan Ball Knew What the Fans Know
I loved, V. Beckham as Debbie Pelt. She would be perfect. The haircut sealed the deal!!
I have a friend (term used loosly) who thinks she is whitty. I agree 100%, that is if she can manage to act. I watched the whatever it was when the Becks moved to Cali and I thought on almost every level that she was useless. Of course that could be because she is a stick with tits (scuse the venacular).

True Blood: S3, Episode 3: "It Hurts Me Too" Discussion
I would love to rant..... really..... but why bother... It was dumb... I started watching 15 minutes into the recording because I knew that there would be at least 15 minutes that I fast forwarded through, but really, I could have skipped most of it and would have been fine on the key elements...
I don't mind that AB does not want to follow the book story line exactly... I kinda like that it could be different, but for fuck sake, at least make it something that does suck ASS...
