  ***POTENTIALLY REAL SPOILERS for DITF: Do not read if you don't want to know.**

  I don't think replying "yes" to the question "do you love me" is that much to get excited about... I've been asked that in the passed and replied in kind and not actually meant it.  It's easy to say and not mean.  Just my take on it though... other ppl obviously think differently

  Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover

  Some other things worth nothing about the two stems:

  The stem with leaves goes to the centre base of the blooming rose, suggesting that the love the rose represents IS Sookie's and not Eric's (unless of course the leaves are nothing to do with Sookie being alive but the fact that Eric's alter ego is 'Lief'/Life).

  The 'dead' stem is more twisty, possibly suggesting Eric's personality or the fact that he's willing to bend himself and his world to accommodate Sookie, and is left of centre of the base of the rose - possibly giving support to the thin and not so strong live stem?  Or, because it's going behind the main flower, is it supporting a rose we can't see?  Suggesting yet again a story in which Eric's love is not 'blooming obvious' to Sookie?

  The 'live' stem and 'dead' stem are on oposite sides to their character counter parts - the 'dead' stem sort of leans towards Sookie, suggesting the fact that yet again Eric will bend himself to Sookie's will/needs/situation, the 'live' stem is straight up, suggesting a lack of compromise (AGAIN!).

  Book #10: Dead in the Family - Speculation THREAD 2

  Just had a quick skim-read through all your thoughts and couldn't see if anyone said this, so I thought I'd add it:

  Given the fact that the rose is so large, are we sure it's between them?  What if they're reaching for each other and the rose is actually in the foreground of the picture, giving it the appearance of being so huge.

  Maybe what the cover is telling us is that Sookie and Eric are finding their way to each other, but they'll always be stuck in the middle between true love/happiness (the rose) and true horror (the ghostly face/shadows/whatever it is) and their's will never be an easy road.

  Who Is "The One" for Sookie? *NEW*

  Lets be honest, CH probably didn't know she was going to get a deal for 3 more books until she was writing book 8 - if that's the case then she would have been prepared to give Sookie her HEA in book 10 if she had to... where was the build up of a relationship with Sam in 8 to allow a HEA for book 10?  There wasn't one...

  It's Eric, it's always been Eric (well... since about book 2-3 anyway) and it will always be Eric.

  Sam's lovely, but he's "man's best friend" you don't f*** your dog (unless you're into that sort of thing... which I just don't want to think about thanks)

  Eric, Eric, Eric... oh, did I mention it was Eric?

  TB Season #3: Speculations.. Players *THREAD CLOSED-READ ONLY*

  Going into season two our goal was to make Eric a bad ass.

  Is it just me?  Or does anyone else think they failed utterly at this?

  Season 2 Eric? Bad ass?  If by 'bad ass' they mean simpering idiot who gets over-powered by humans and wrapped in silver in a scene that must have been beyond lame since it didn't make the cut... then they hit the nail on the head!

  I mean really!  Yes, okay, chomph chomph, human leg rippage, bloody hair... oooh! So evil (note the sarcastic typing there please...)... but p-l-ease!  By the end of the season I was so bored of Eric the sap.

  If they're going to make Bill just as bad ass then I guess they may as well take a pair of pliers and de-fang all the vamps in the show because they're going to hold no power over anyone.

  Totally off topic from what you were discussing!  Not totally off topic of the Sookie Stackhouse series... (I wasn't sure where else to ask this)

  I'm currently working on some fanfic and I am totally clueless about the fanfiction.net site - anyone here a beta reader? or able to give me some general info on fanfiction.net, there don't appear to be any useful FAQ responses or anything... sorry if this is whittery - I'm half way through my little bit of fic and very anxious about the idea of posting it.
