Have you seen the show?: Yes.
What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): My fave supes in general are Weres and shifters, but in the Sookieverse, it has to be vamps above all the other characters. Oh, and fave characters are Eric, Pam, and Sookie.

If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" (and the accompanying "Commentary! the Musical".
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Considering that my handle comes from a book, I guess in some way that it would be Hyzenthlay from the book "Watership Down" - though there are other characters I could name as well, she's the one I am identifying myself with, so I guess she's the one.

Have you read the books? If so, how many of them?: Ah yeah... I've read them & re-read them all a little obsessively.
Have you seen the show?: Yup.
What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): Vamps but Were's & Witches are a very close second.
If you had a theme song - what would it be?: Oh crap. I can't choose just 1. "September Girls" by Big Star, "Golden Lady" by Stevie Wonder, "Fearless" by Pink Floyd, "Helpless" by C,S,N & Y, "This is The Hardcore" by Pulp, "Controversy" by Prince....I could go on.
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: I think I'll have to go with Dazed & Confused. Not only do I adore the movie, but My high school (& even a bit of college) were hugely relatable & influential.
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Right now I guess it's Sookie. Damn! I really need to think about these! I'll be back to answer this later...
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?: An avocado. It's the unexpected & misunderstood fruit of the bunch. It's also nutrient packed & making a comeback. Who could resist a great gaucamole?

How'd you come by this forum?: Being obsessed with all things Sookie I stumbled upon this page hunting for info on book 9
Have you read the books? If so, how many of them?: ALL, serveral times; some of the short stories
Have you seen the show?: Of course!
What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): Vampire--this goes back to Buffy the Vampire Slayer--the tv show (movie wasn't as good in my opinion)
If you had a theme song - what would it be?: Um . . . wow. This is tough. Depends on my mood I love all kinds of music with the exception of country (though some songs are good).
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: Crap! Who came up with these questions?! Have no idea
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Probably Ameilia, because she is self-assured, will try anything, and can be abrupt. However, i don't think I'm quite as selfish and I am DEFINITELY not a neat-freak
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?: Strawberry. Seriously, who doesn't like strawberries?
HI Andrea - Welcome. I'm Laura - one of the Mod's. Nancy (Hyzenthlayk9) being the other. Well...I came up w/the theme song question & as you can see - I had a hard time answering them myself!! I'm still thinking about them! Hope you enjoy poking around & posting. As you can see - we get into quite a lot of detail.
BTW - I was & am a huge Buffy fan. One of my fav. TV shows of all time.
Hi Andrea - I'm also a big Buffy and Joss Whedon fan (and yes the movie wasn't nearly as good, but that's because the studio 'got involved' and made changes, and sort of messed around with Joss's vision. It wasn't until the TV show that he could put his real vision for the character and her world on screen - thank goodness.)

How'd you come by this forum?: I met Laura and Nancy on the TrueBlood Wiki and they invited me to join -- it's so refreshing to have an intelligent and fun forum to discuss the books and show.
Have you read the books? If so, how many of them?: I've read all 8 novels and the Sookie Stackhouse short stories "One Word Answer", "Fairy Dust" and "Gift Wrap".
Have you seen the show?: Indeed I have.
What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): I am really partial to the Weres/Shifters and faries and nymphs -- I think this is due to a childhood obession with Greek mythology. I am fascinated by vamps but they're not my favorite -- they never create anything, they are fairly 2-dimensional in their interests and pursuits which are power, food and sex.
If you had a theme song - what would it be?: This is a tough call but I'll make it "Young Americans" from David Bowie.
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: "Blazing Saddles" -- this is the first movie I remember busting a gut over and it still makes me laugh so I'll go with this classic (for today at least).
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: For the past few years, I think Demeter/Ceres is my closest avatar.
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?: Apple -- works in cooking, baking and on it's own. Versatile without being arrogant.

If you had a theme song - what would it be?: Lover, You Should Have Come Over by Jeff Buckley. Hands down.
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: Most definitely it would be Labyrinth. This movie warped my mind at a young age and fantasy hasn't loosened its grip since!
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Actually, I might have to go with Lizzie from P&P here...
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?: Probably, a pomegranate - sweet and bitter, takes work to enjoy the rewards. I tend to be a bit of an introvert, so this fruit seems a good symbol.

It is my not so secret hope that Alexander Skarsgard will be my boyfriend. My real boyfriend doesn't like the competition of a 6'5, 5 time winner of Sweden's sexiest man, who is on my desktop naked in a bathtub. What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): Vampire. If you had a theme song - what would it be?: Tangerine- Led Zeppelin, Go Your Own Way- Fleetwood Mac, or Ny Batteri- Sigur Ros If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: Twilight. What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): Always been obsessed with Vampires....I am one of the "Moonlight" viewers ticked about that show being cancelled. If it has a vampire in it, I've probably seen it. (sigh...yes, including that train wreck of a movie Twilight...which Meyer's series of books are good...but CH's series is much better and wink wink more 'adult'.
If you had a theme song - what would it be?: "If I Was Your Vampire" Marylin Mansonat this particular moment....but in general, anything that is non-country. As Alex S. playing Sgt. Colbert in Generation Kill accurately states, country is "the special olympics of music."
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: 'Salem's Lot....yes...I know...weird...but I enjoyed the TNT version with Rob Lowe; and I especially like how Stephen King is always able to capture "the evil in small towns" in his books. Salem's Lot is a story as much about human evils as it is about vampires. Growing up in a small town....I can relate.
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Elizabeth I (any movie or book) and Samantha in Sex and the City, because I identify with the empowerment these women enjoy in knowing that you do not have to be a wife or mother to have a "meaningful" or "successful" life. "If it ain't broke...Don't marry it!"

I can't find Gift Wrap online, nor the book in brazilian bokkstores, that's the only reason why I haven't read it yet.
Have you seen the show?: Yes. All 12 episodes, I've read the books because of the show, but I find the books way better.
What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): Vampires. I've been obcessed with vampires since I was 9 and I read the children's book series "The little vampire". Buffy is my favorite tv show of all time. I love the Twilight series, but I think the Sookie books are better.

If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: no idea about a "theme" movie but my fav is "The Philadelphia Story" (1940 - Katharine Hepburn, Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant)
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Not sure, I've always related to Tracy Lord from "The Philadelphia Story" (except the bit about growing up fabulously wealthy). She's a strong, intelligent, independent woman who puts so much pressure on herself to be perfect she has to learn she isn't quite as independent and unaffected as she'd let herself believe and can/should accept and even admire human frailty in herself and others.
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?: No way around it... that will just take some time to think about.

It is one of my favorite. It is a little more broken up than the other books, but you get huge amounts of info... 2 thumbs way up.
Hey Jenn - Welcome!
I just want to warn you that this site is choke full of spoilers so you might want to wait until you read 8 to poke around. Even in the specific book threads - stuff is referenced from 8.

Hi CMaC!! ![]()
I've preordered the paperback of FDtW and I think I'll be okay until it comes in. I'm having alot of fun re-reading the previous titles and pulling important bits out of that. I didn't want to get the hardback in book 8 when I only have paperback of all the others. I'm looking forward to reading it once I do get it.
I did pick up the compilation book Many Bloody Returns yesterday and that should keep my attention for awhile.
The only vampire stories I've read besides CH's series is of course Anne Rice. It's really nice to delve so deep into another universe of supernaturals. ![]()

Hey Nikki...Berea, Ky chick here....welcome to the board...
Hey Ky ladies.... Funny story......
It was election day 2004, my husband I got up early to go vote. To set the tone for the day, while waiting in line we noticed a woman that was ahead of us in line. You could not miss her. She was a dowdy, frumpy woman wearing a full khaki skirt, light pink t shirt and a gas mask... Not a germ mask like doctors wear or even the abbreviated jobby do that guys that blow insulation or people who work on asbestos abatements, but a full on germ warfare defense gas mask..... Well needless to say, the lack of sleep and the strange election experience made for a strange rest of the day, so when I saw a liscense plate tag that said "KYLADY" on my way home from work, I was transfixed. I started intently wondering, "Who would advertise that on their liscense plate". I was so mesmorized that I did not realize that they had breaked until I was straight up their ass (Ironic?). In the after math, when I was talking to the family while waiting for the cops, I discovered that they were in fact from Kentucky...... That was what I like to call a light bulb moment.....
Hi CMaC

Hey Amy,
Have you lived in Raleigh before? I have lived in or around Raleigh most of my life. Like any good southerner, I would never leave unless my life depended on it.
Also can't wait to hear about some of your theories...
No, I haven't. My hubby is from there. He loves it. I'm such a nerd I'm excited to get back in a town with Universities near by.
You guys are a bit intimidating on the theory front but I have a few...
There are universities galore around here and a cornucopia of industries so it is a very diverse area. It is like a bubble of middle classdom. Any idea where in Raleigh you are going to be moving (North, West, South East, Cary, Morrisville, Garner or inner beltline)?
You will love it (at least I hope you will). I do not have a huge range of places that I have lived, but I like this area best of all the places I have lived or visited.
Funny story about wide spread... Many moons ago when I was 21 and lived in Boone NC (was a student at app.), I had a friend whose uncle was a roadie for widespread and had the t-shirt gig. She asked me to help her with the shirt sales and beer doling at the show so we spent the night slinging beers and selling shirts. After the show we were hanging out with everyone and the percussionist (I think) said I reminded him of his cat lips and gave me his hat...
Awesome WSP story. They're a cool group of guys. I went to school in Macon, Georgia and knew them when they still played small bars. We are closing on our house next Tuesday. Its just inside the beltline off Ridge Rd. I love the area and can't wait to get settled.
I lived in a high rise that was off ridge... At the time it was as close as you could get to an old folks home without it actually being an old folks home.
It was the perfect location... When my husband and I bought a house we moved out to Cary (containment area for relocated Yankees, sorry Yankee girls no offense intended).
Bekanna?
YES!!!!! It was awesome... How do you know about it (I am guessing the sign off Glennwood)?
There was a pack of old ladies that sat in the lobby.. They would gossip non-stop. Make all kinds of crazy stuff up. I found out from a mole that I had in the lobby that some of it was directed at me... I laughed my ass off. If I could give them 30 minutes of entertainment during the day, I felt like I had accomplished something....
Actually, our house is on Varnell that runs right behind it. I love gossiping old ladies. Very Faulkner.
Very... They are heel nippers and in small towns can cause lots of trouble, but in the big town of Raleigh they are a whisper on the wind and mostly harmless.
You are a stones throw from crabtree and my favorite Harris Teeter (most of the people that work there look like they are in a special needs placement program).
Hey Amy,
Welcome to the forum and a big hello from Kentucky.....I am anxious to hear your theories....we are speculators from way-back on here. But I love to hear what others are thinking and theorizing about....it adds to the story for me.
I live in Central Ky now but am originally from the mountains of Eastern Ky. Did you live in Louisville or Lexington....since you mentioned that you missed the college towns....those are the biggest ones here in the state??? I went to EKU....partied in the big ole town of Richmond!!!
Anyway...have fun on here and post us some of your ideas!!
I'm from Mount Sterling, just down 64 from U.K. and I bleed blue. UK blue.
I've been reading your board for a few months now, I confess. It took me a while to get the nerve to chime in. A BUNCH of my high school buddies went to EKU. I actually went to college in GA. I've pretty much covered the Southeast in my 33 and 11/12th years.
Thanks for the welcome. I look forward to chiming in.
When you say GA do you mean Georgia or is that a college in KY...
Amy, I am going to find an early post that I made for Katherine about a "run in" that I had with a woman from KY...
Hey Ky ladies.... Funny story......
It was election day 2004, my husband I got up early to go vote. To set the tone for the day, while waiting in line we noticed a woman ahead of us in line. You could not miss her. She was a dowdy, frumpy woman wearing a full khaki skirt, light pink t shirt and a gas mask... Not a germ mask like doctors wear or even the abbreviated jobby do that guys that blow insulation or people who work on asbestos abatement, but a full on germ warfare defense gas mask..... Well needless to say, the lack of sleep and the strange election experience made for a strange rest of the day, so when I saw a license plate tag that said "KYLADY" on my way home from work, I was transfixed. I was wondering, "Who would advertise that on their license plate" and was so mesmerized that I did not realize that they had braked until I was straight up their ass (Ironic?). Afterward, when I was talking to the family while waiting for the cops, I discovered that they were in fact from Kentucky...... That was what I like to call a light bulb moment.....
OMG Caroline, that's too funny! All of it! Do you think the gas mask was a political statement or do you think she was just deeply disturbed? And for the love of Christ! KYLady??? How do you not get the other possible meaning there? She must get all sorts of weird invitations at stop lights and then wonders why she's such a freak magnet.
Do you think the gas mask was a political statement or do you think she was just deeply disturbed?
The woman was a complete weirdo who looked like she had no social skills what-so-ever so I am guessing that she was ligitamally scared that the CHURCH where we voted in a smallish Raleigh satalite city was going to be subject to some sort of chemical warfare. This was a few years after 911 and the rampant antrax scare with some major media outlets so somewhere in her muddled brain I am guessing she thought it was possible?
Ah... crazy people are the spice of life aren't they? ![]()
I just don't even know what to say to that. Holy shit. Oops. Pun intended. ![]()
I went to a liberal arts college in Georgia--Mercer--in Macon. So I've lived in Mount Sterling Ky, Macon, Georgia, St. Simons Island, Georgia, Charlotte, NC and I'm about to live in Raleigh, NC. Mount Sterling is 40 miles away from a nice sized University. Macon is a college town. St. Simons is on the ocean, which has its own vibe. And while Charlotte has colleges in it, it is a financial hub. I live in the arts district but it is not a funky laid back town, not by a long shot.
Yeah.. No offense Charlotte peeps, but Charlotte always seemed very superficial to me... Some neat stuff there, but neat for the sake of the appearance of neat.
True.
Amy. I live in Berea not far from Mt. Sterling..home of "Court Days" what a festival that one is. I am from Prestonsburg originally and believe me I bleed totally BLUE too!!!!!

Have you read the books? If so, how many of them?: Yes, all of them. More than once.
Have you seen the show?: Every episode
What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): I don’t have a favorite. I like them all.
If you had a theme song - what would it be?: I don’t have a theme song, but my current favorite song is Bloodletting By Concrete Blonde. I have a pretty eclectic taste in music.
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: I don’t have a theme movie, but some of my favorites are Repo! The Genetic Opera, Heathers, The South Park Movie, The Wizard of OZ, The Philadelphia Story, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Pumpkinhead & The Nightmare Before Christmas (Really just about any movie Tim Burton has made, especially if it has Johnny Depp in it) I’m sure when the Dark Shadows movie comes out it will be great!
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Right now, I’d have to say it’s Lydia from Bettlejuice because of her line: “Live people ignore the strange and unusual. I, myself, am strange and unusual.” – That might not be the exact quote. But I think I could identify with many characters depending on my mood at the time. Later I might be Scarlett O’Hara from Gone With the Wind because of her need to persevere. As I was trying to think of a way to answer this, I was thinking of some of the classic novels that I loved, and realized that they have all been turned into movies. The Great Gatsby, Wuthering Heights, To Kill a Mockingbird and so many others.
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?: grapes because they are sweet and juicy

Have you read the books? If so, how many of them?: yes, but not any of the “side” stories/adventures
Have you seen the show?: yes, after I read the books by a friend’s recommendation. I decided that although inspired by the books, it’s a separate identity. I’m more of a purest, so the first season really bothered me until I decided that. Now I enjoy the show more, but I’m about 3 episodes behind in this season. We don’t have HBO.
What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): I’d have to say pure shifter, like Sam, who can turn into anything. Plus, you’re not restricted by what time of day it is and have to get caught up in all the political stuff of vamps and weres
If you had a theme song - what would it be?: Keep on Thinkin’ by Sloan. It’s upbeat plus I tend to be very analytical = )
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: Erin Brockovich – she stands up for what she believes in, has a way of connecting with people, shows that with determination she can accomplish great things even though she doesn’t fit into the “mold” of her job…there’s really a lot about this movie that I love that’s hard to put into words
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Elle from Legally Blonde – she’s constantly misjudged and underrated by others
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?: watermelon – just love ‘em and I can eat it even if I’m full!!!

I can't figure out where to post this, and this thread comes the closest. I really have to comment on how nice it is to have intelligent conversation and serious analysis. I've lurked on this forum from some time last fall. I got an ID and then lurked some more this year. I guess I'm shy and I think it's hard to work myself into a forum, especially a smaller one where folks get to be tight knit. That has not turned out to be a problem, and I have felt welcomed here.
I've tried to post at CH's website on and off for almost a year. I have used the Ancient Pythoness name there too. Frankly, the people are mostly inane, lame, and not all that bright. And it's impossible to have a serious discussion about anything since the structure of CH's website makes for disjointed conversations. Also speculation is frowned upon there. And I feel that as long as people base their speculation on solid book evidence (canon), speculation is great (but I do hate speculation that is really fanfic and unsupported by canon). Furthermore, people at CH's site are so caught up posting defenses of their favorite lover/suitor (ship), that all discussion is colored that way. They see everything in a negative light for a competing suitor, and slant everything else toward their favored suitor.
I used to post heavily in a few Harry Potter forums (not anymore though). However, I always steered clear of the shipping wars since people would turn violent and ugly. Also, what they posted in defense of their favored ship vs. a competing ship was often laughable. And even though I steered clear of any love threads, I would still get pounced upon by a furious shipper when I would say something negative about their preferred lovers in other unrelated threads. The same was true when I would say something positive, the opposing team would pounce all over me.
I see a lot of those same shipping problems now at CH's forum. And of course, most TB only forums are populated by Bill lovers who are quite hostile to Team Eric.
Naturally, it really helps that the majority of posters here are on Team Eric and are as nuts about AS as I am. Oh and I can't resist one snarky aside. Someone at CH's forum just posted that AS doesn't do anything for her. I wanted to ask her if she menstruates yet.
Hugs and kisses from a very happy new forum member.
Welcome ladies
& Judy.... I felt the same hence me & Nancy (hyzenthlak9) starting this forum! I had been looking for a place to really delve into the series & try & hash through all of my thoughts, ideas & possible connections I had been making. Wasn't having much luck on the CH's forum (we pretty much have similar feelings about the tone of her forum) - went to TB wiki & felt it was far too hostile & argumentative, which really wasn't what I was looking for.
However - did meet Nance there & a few others & we started this over here. I never imagined it would grow to anything like this & has surprised me hugely! No place is perfect but if this forum fits the bill & can remain a place where ideas, theory & speculation can be discussed freely without extreme antagonism and on top ... a huge dose of humor too, well I am thrilled.
I hope you & others continue to enjoy the forum. Thank you for the feedback - Laura
Well I just happily found this forum today. I am also team Eric ( totally obsessed), however I was also looking for a sight where I could discuss the books, not just the triangle. I also lurk at CH's forum and my feelings are similar to others posted above. While you can get some good discussion in regards to the books and TB, if you say anything remotely against Bill you are jumped all over, while the Bill lover's feel they can say ANYTHING negative about Eric and it is honest discussin. The tone there can get quite nasty at times and I find I am going there less and less.
I am sure it will take me a couple of days to read through everything here and then hopefully I can contribute. Looking forward to it!
Oh, and enjoy tonight's episode of TB. Only 31/2 hours to go!--LKC
Hi all, new here. Have been reading your posts for a while and really enjoy the discussions. Got started by watching the first season of TB. Was intrigued by the story so then read all of the books. Interestingly, was a big fan of Bill after watching the show, and switched my allegiance quickly once I started the books. Total fan of Eric now, but I can see how the TV-only fans are so pro-Bill. Enjoying season 2 of TB and anxiously awaiting the next book. (Try really hard to just think of them as separate so I don't get too mad at the show!)
Hi I just joined and I like the discussion here. I love the books and the series. Eric is my fav character which is why I like this forum so much.
Hello, I found this site when googling Dead and Gone spoilers. (I was very impatient about getting it in the mail from amazon). I've watched true blood since the beginning and only just found out about the books 3-4 weeks ago. Let me tell you, I ordered the 7 stack and finished them all in 4-5 days. I was soo addicted I ran out and got From Dead to Worse then ordered Dead and Gone online. Well because my dead and gone book got delayed, I started looking for spoilers on Google and came across this site and read through the forums to get a better understanding about what I was reading. Let me just say this, I absolutely love the books and I'm so addicted to them, I read small little passages that I specifically like almost everyday to brighten up my mood. I've posted on HBO True Blood forums but those people seem to HATE people who read the books!!! I can't wait to start commenting... uhm and I'll fill out this questionnaire

I've been lurking for so long I thought I would finally join in the awesome discussions! Everyone is so nice here and I love all of your ideas and theories. It makes rereading the books so much fun! My friend bought them and told me they were really good, so I read a few. Then I went out and bought all 8 of them, finished them quickly and then had to wait a long 2 months for the 9th book. Whats funny is as I was reading the first few I had no idea it was a TV show also. On the cover it even said something like "Now a show on HBO." I completely missed that. By the way I am a huge Eric lover and have been rooting for Eric and Sookie since book one!

Joss Whedon is brilliant! I find myself often comparing TB to Buffy. At least when it comes to the main characters. Buffy was always getting herself out of trouble, why does Sookie (and many other women on TB) have to be such a damsal in distress? Sorry for the rant. Should I put this somewhere else?
Don't know maybe I should start some sort of Buffy comaprison thread in a way. It seems as if we all do a lot of comparing - I know I do in some many different ways.

If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: Shoot! I'll say one of them is definitely Steel Magnolias...
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Another tough one....maybe Bridget Jones from the book/movie...she has a sassy disposition, keeps her head up when life throws her a curve ball, isn't the most put together, but no matter what you just keep rooting for her...
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?:
A kiwi ~ you can't say it without putting a smile on your face, can't just take a bite of the good stuff without doing a little work, but man, once you get to the sweet stuff, you know it was worth it!

Hey Nickel Pickle
Welcome to the forum... Be sure to read ATD closely. Some tasty nuggets are there and a lot of good good stuff goes down..
Welcome to the forum Cole!
however i accidentally jumped the gun and missed ATD so I'm backtracking as we speak
How was it to go from DD straight into FDTW? Any confusion?
You know it is funny... I bought FDTW before getting through DD because I read a spoiler that said that FDTW was the book that Eric gets his memory of his oh so hot time with Sookie back... I gleaned it for the goods and then got back in line..
Aw well thanks for the welcomes! I'm pretty stoked to have found an active intelligent SVM forum, I've been lurking for awhile and decided it was time to join y'all!
I'm pretty excited to read it, it was like an ignored present that suddenly surfaced! I feel mildly retarded for missing it, I was just so eager I completely missed it.
It was confusing, I had this sinking feeling I had skipped something, but at that point I was already invested in the book. I'm kinda bummed now that I'm reading ATD I know what happens and how it all more or less goes down, but overall I'm happy to have more SVM in my life
I can't lie. I'm bad too. I also read that was the book he got his memories back, so I skimmed and read that part, then went back to whatever book I was supposed to be reading.
I also have to admit that I barely read DD. I got all the main points that I deemed worthy - Pam's phone call, Eric before the date, Sookie while in NO, the big reveal about Bill, the battle. I just couldn't stomach Quinn. If his name was on the page, I probably didn't read it.
Well if it makes you feel better I read the end of books about 1/4 of the way through.
I also have to admit that I barely read DD.
Me Too!!!! It was to much Quinn, who i disliked from the git go.... I ended up finishing it on audio books.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that does this! I tended to look for Eric's name as I speed-read thru those books. ooohhh and Pam's name...lol
Me Too!!!!!
HAHAHAHA I definitely do that. I don't really have a legit excuse for this mistake other than incompetency on my part since I was listening to the books on tape, I really didn't see it. I made myself do the books on tape thing cos I knew I if I read the books I would speed read till Eric and Pam were mentioned
moved to random
hahah not all i feel the same way, I did eight in two weeks as well
I just holed myself up in my room and listened instead of hanging out with my roommates and brought my ipod in the car, I was deeply involved lol

What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): Gosh that's a tie I think. I might think fairy, just because they seem the most unique and distant from the human world, and always loved and wanted to be one! But being a pure shape shifter like sam would be awesome, I love animals.. And being a vampire is just down right sexy, I was thinking last night how I wish I could be one when this annoying human was sitting infront of me at a uni lecture. If only I could have kicked her in the head and flashed some fang! haha.. sigh..
If you had a theme song - what would it be?: Everything (Alanis Morissette)
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: Into the wild
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Christopher from Into the wild maybe. I can identify myself with many characters, and relate to pretty much any character, even ones I don't like! I really liked Amy in true blood until she turn out to be a bit of a psycho.. I'm a Raw Vegan too, and I liked her talk about gaia and such.
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?: Lychee I think.. Not my favorite fruit but I do love them. They are hard and spikey on the outside, while being tender, soft and incredibly sweet on the inside!
hey katrina, for some odd reason i liked Amys character as well.. she got jason to open his mind up and i kinda liked the psychotic bit.. she was intersting plus she didnt overstay her welcome like the maryann character

Have you read the books? If so, how many of them?: All the books, none of the short stories
Have you seen the show?: Yes very disappointed
What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): In real life, Fairies. In sookieworld, true shifters because when Sam became a lion in that werehouse (harhar) it shows the versatility of his nature... and when he became a fly in the show to escape the jail that would be another fine example.
If you had a theme song - what would it be?: Wow. That is a difficult question hahaha I'll have to think about it and remember to come back!! I can think of theme songs for people I know... but not myself!!
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: Again... let me think on this
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Belle from Beauty and the Beast - I get really involved in my books.
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?: Pineapple, because I'm a little bit thorny, but once you get to know my insides I am sweet and tangy![]()
Hi Patricia! We totally picked the same fruit ![]()
Welcome to the forum Patricia... You have to read the short storied starting with One Word Answer (even if it is not the first) lots of good stuff there....
I also loved when Sam Shifted into a lion... It was BAD ASS... and werehouse made me smile.. Look forward to reading your post...
When I say you have to read the shorts, I hope it did not sound to literal.... You don't have to, but they are good..
I want to read the shorts, I do. I just have to acquire them to read. I know they are coming out in hardcover... I think I am going to wait until they come out in soft cover unless it's available at the library. (I have a thing against library books, I don't like touching them hahaha)
I hope that I have something to offer to this forum. I don't seem to be as analytical as others here, I notice that some posters are really hard core and have put a lot of time and thought into their opinions.
GIft Wrap & One Word Answer have been out for a while. As well as Dracula Night. Those 3 you should definitely read. You should go on 4shared.com, they'll have them.
Dancers in the Dark are about Sean & Layla from ATD but is really very good & very telling about the vamp world...a different side to it.
I'm sure you'll be just fine on here & have plenty to offer.

Have you read the books? If so, how many of them?: Yup. I've read them all, but recently and only once.
Have you seen the show?: Yes, and in the interest of full disclosure, I watched the show first.
What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): I'm more partial to vampires but I do love them all. Even fairies.
If you had a theme song - what would it be?: Hmm. That's a hard one. I think I have more of a soundtrack then one song but those songs on my soundtrack are more indicative of my moods than my personality.
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: Same answer, I suppose.
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: Bastian Balthazar Bux, from the Neverending Story. He starts out kind of weak and grows into his strength. Looking back on my own life this is what I see. Of course, we didn't go about it the same way, but not everyone has a Falkor.
If you were a piece of fruit, what would you be & why?: I'll go with orange. An orange has sections, several pieces held together to make one fruit. I wear multiple hats and each one is equally important in the person I am. That might be a weak answer but it's all I got right now.
4shared.com I'm going to check that out. THANKS!!!

Have you seen the show?: Through the fourth episode. alright, but I think the story is not as deep as the books.
What is your favorite type of supe? (Were, fairy, vampire, etc...): Shapeshifters, not just Weres because they seem to be so much more than what they appear. Plus it would be really cool to be an animal for a while.
If you had a theme song - what would it be?: I would vote for Happy Girl by Martina McBride, but my hubby might think differently.
If you had a theme movie - what would it be?: (OK I am sure that I am gonna get grief for this one)... Twilight because I really like the make the "rise above your faults and be who you want to be" theme.
What character from a book, film or song do you identify most with?: From this series..... Sam because he always seems to know about or be a part of everything without meaning too and he is the rock in Sookie's foundation.
