I asked this question on another forum and people are having fun with it so I thought I'd put the same question to you.
Let's hear what kind of undead life you'd lead.... I know you've got an opinion on this!
Well...let's see. I guess I would be a cross between Alice(Twilight) and Pam(SVM). I'm more down with the Twilight lifestyle (I don't think I could handle the death by day business). I'd rather keep my secret and accumulate massive amounts of money over the years.lol And, what's not to love about the fact that when you become a vamp in Twilight you become the most beautiful version of yourself? What can I say other than...I'm down w that.
Anyways, both Alice and Pam are big into fashion. I think I would spend my entire livelihood (or unlivlihood) shopping. I wanted to strangle Bella/Sookie with thier always rejecting the finer things. I'd kill for that closet Alice put together for Bella--kill a cougar or someother crazed animal of course!
In terms of personality, I'm more like Pam--though much more friendly upfront. My humor tends to be sarcastic and I can be rather sharp tongued. However, if I consider you a good friend, my loyalty is endless. That being said...I don't have a wonderful Jasper in my life--still waiting on him. So, I suppose I'd emulate the independant woman style, start my own fashion line and give all the proceeds to a charity that supports education in the US. That is one area we should NEVER neglect, IMO. Okay, off my soap box.
Plus, I figure once I get in the good graces of this lovely nation with all my charitable works, they won't care that I'm a vampire. I'll be able to frolick in the sun--sparkly as all get out--as much as I darn well please.
I think I'd be a mix between Sookie (how I imagined her turned - because unlike CH, I would like Sookie turned because I would want to be a vampire in her place...) and Eric... I love how both have such strong wills, how they remain true to themselves and how instinctual/primal Eric can be yet allowing his pragmatism prevail when self-preservation is required, i love that duality. I'd have a touch of Lestat because, well, Lestat was my first vampire love...

Oh laws... where to begin...
Mental acuity... I would want to be a little sharper... I would also want some level of telepathic ability but not full on mind reading and not empathic either, just a general sense of someones mind so I could get a flavor for their character.
Definitely a blood drinker with fangs... but retractable so as not to arouse to much suspicion (no food but definitely booze). I would not have to drain them and would glamor them or hold them in thrall so they did not rat me out... BUT I would drain the fuck out of some bad dudes with the understanding that I run a risk of blurring the lines the longer that I live. That being said, I have a much stronger moral compass than I did when I was younger along with a stronger sense of judgment (clearer understanding of the fact that most people, myself included, are in some nebulous gray area between right and wrong, with some people being flat out good and some being downright bad)? I would not moralize because if the chips were down, I know that I would not be hugely picky about the quality of my victims character, but if given a choice I would go for the bottom feeders.
I would want to fly... Hell even if I weren't a vamp and just a regular average super hero, I would want to fly. Super strength would be good some day walking (I love the sunshine) would be nice too... But ultimately, to feel the earth fall from beneath my feet and to take to the stars.... undeniably amazing and something I doubt I would ever get sick of.
As far as power or hierarchy, I think my vamp life would be a lot like my human life. Sorta on the fringes... Neither a follower or a leader. Enough power to insure that I am not messed with in either direction.
I have all the time in the world and would love to spend it learning new things, going new places and killing new people (presumably questionable or just down right bad).
4 minutes agoMeant to also add something about hotness.... I would want to be hot, but not too hot. Extremely hot is as conspicuous as ugly is inconspicuous. Not to seem to vain, but I like the way I look so I would want to look like me only thinner and I am with you Laura, no body hair. I would do a complete spa month with intense workouts , down to the root blonding with all split ends trimmed, hair cut into a versatile style that will be easy to change the style with the times, pain staking hair removal and maybe a little bit of botox prior to my transformation (assuming that the vamp that changes me is also a wealthy benefactor, which they probably would be in this fantasy... They should also be an extremely attractive male on many levels, since this is a fantasy and all).

OK so I think my personality would translate but obviously be amped to the max. I think I would be a leader of some sort but not a Queen or #1 Master b'c I don't want to be responsible for so many but I want enough freedom to be trusted, valued & therefore, left alone b'c I also like my privacy & am a little rebellious. I feel like I'd be powerful enough to have my fun & do my thing as long as I was solid, clever & able to think outside the box on the fly.
I'd still be pretty pragmatic & I would be in touch with my humanity b'c it would be important to me. Not b'c I am a sap but b'c I think it would keep me steps ahead of my impulsive peers. I think about it this way - I used to be human but now I'm a predator. Before vamps - humans were the top of the food chain & for good reason. So? Being in touch w/my humanity would give me more ammo in my already lethal weapons case. It would make me a more seductive predator. However - b'c I could genuinely use it to my advantage, I could live easier w/humans. Their willingness to work w/me & be loyal would hopefully end up being out of respect rather than fear. I'd rather win them over rather than be a bully who uses the same old tricks. Where's the fun or what's so interesting about that? So, I think It would probably help me to keep the boredom at bay too.
However - I would also be able to be very in touch with my inhumanity when I need to be.
That brings me to teeth! Mine would retract! But not in the True Blood gimmicky way. Again I think that being a vamp is the next elevated level in evolution & we'd be made to make us the best predators on the planet to our prey. Our prey being Humans so everything has to be designed in order to seduce like a snake charmer. That means the fangs don't come out until I'm ready but you don't even notice. I have it all biologically figured out how it happens to but in case I ever write that book, I'm going to save it!
Oh course I'd look like me just an extremely hot version! And FINALLY no body hair!! I don't have to have another day in my life & my skin would be flawless & a body built like a shit brickhouse.
I can go in the sun but just not midday. I'm not pasty & my heart beats & the blood flows. I can simulate being alive. I can sleep (but tech. don't need much) & even eat small portions if I like. Again - the predator thing.
All the usuals are there, memory manipulation, Compulsion, incredibly fast, hearing, strength, flying might come with age. I'd be an exceptional tracker. Can hypnoitze and I think I'd like to possibly shape shift into something. I'm not sure what my one special talent would be - maybe psychometry or something.
I'd speak all the languages - even full sign. I'd play every instrument like I belong in the philharmonic. Or course the innate agility allows me to dance like a fiend.

Well I would like to be a tan vampire because i love my complexion. I would be able to run really fast and even fly like how Eric can in the CH novels. I would also like to have mental abilities such as Telekinesis, Telepathy and Psychic as well.I would like to have the ability to Glamor people into doing whatever I wanted them to do.
As for looks, I like the way I look I would definitely like to be thinner, well fit I guess would be the word you know have a tight stomach and tighter leg muscles and toned arms. My hair would definitely have to be longer and my boobs to be a bit bigger than they are now. As for fangs I would like them to be able to retract as well so I could live amongst humans when I wanted.
I would love to be a traveling Vampire one who goes every where and learns many languages. Also be associated with very important people through out history. I would love to be a sort of Anthropology Historian, very high in Vampire Politics. As for the day time I would Definitely be a day walker like (Blade) or the vampires in Twilight just not glittery.
As for feeding, Well if I had to feed on people it would have to be on people who were willing, or bad people such as rapist and children killers. Not druggies! I wouldn't want to be tainted with their blood.
As for what type of vampire I would be as to personality I would be very outgoing, spontaneous, nice, with a mean streak when necessary, driven, ambitious, calm, controlled (in emotion sense), knowledgeable as well. I would not be a vampire to mess with when it comes to business, I'd be very cut throat with that aspect of my life. But if you are my friend I would be a good one to have, very loyal, always have your back and very laid back and silly but double cross me and you will pay.

OK if I was a vampire I would like to be one from the Dark Hunter Series, not only do they have the immortal life but they do not have to drink blood, they can eat like everyone else and most importantly they all have some kind of REALLY REALLY cool power to defend themselves!!!
If I had to choose, I would like to be like a twilight vampire. The idea of never needing sleep is great! I also love how almost indestructable they are. Plus they have emotions. They can have a relationship with another vampire and be together, truely forever. I like that!
I am not so sure about the not sleeping thing... I love me some good sleep, plus it is a good way to give your brain a rest. The idea of being on all the time just makes me tired (mentally). Sleep is a good way to check out for a while without checking out....
